Adem Yze

Ooze is thinking about jumping on a plane to head to Thailand.
To meet the players.
He's keen as Mustard.
Not quite Southern Italy but not bad.
This has the hangover 2 written all over it!

I picked up on that as well.

He's definitely had some media training already. I reckon the Mini and other Assistants were pre-prepared answers. I could see Gale turn his head, almost to say stay on track.
He'd clearly sold himself on change, Gale quoting Yze "you live in the past, your die in the present".

The other bit - I'm assuming that was his daughter in camera shot. How happy was she to be watching. Huge smile.

Nice to feel positive about the place again. Footy Clubs sell hope. Yze sold plenty.
Yep I liked the family part of it to that's been missing for a while that connection.

Four years under Simon Goodwin.

All good points - The most important part of our game must be to improve our ability to tackle strongly and limit the opposition unloading the ball. This is the most pronounced difference between '17-'20 and '21-'23
Mate, I've been a member for 55 years and cannot remember a tigers side that could tackle efficiently & consistently & irks me today as it has in past decades.

Yeah that got a good laugh. At the presser.

Some people would think he's really going do it. :)

Was really impressed with Yze's press conference and the Club interview.
It's most definitely early days, but I believe RFC has made an excellent choice for its 42nd senior coach.
Yze seems to have a lot of good qualities about him and he appears very self assured.
Get the player list in order and there is every chance he could coach Richmond to its next premiership.
Anyway, I'm definitely on board the Yze train.

He speaks very well and was very impressive in this mornings presser. The only thing that I found annoying is that he "umms" quite a lot!!

He "ummed" every 10 seconds in that interview with Gerarard Wankley.

Have suspected this all along and have said so on this site ; but after listening to Benny now I have no doubt , dimma was nudged out the door

Interesting

That'll disappear with time & media exposure. Probably more to do with nerves than anything else. Hasn't had to do much media stuff previously.
I liked what he had to say.

Yeah I thought BG had a decent and obvious swing. He’s not normally like that but it was pretty clear he thought Hooch and the group had, in his words, “drifted”. Think he used the word “unrecognisable” to describe our first half of the year form didn’t he ?

You tie that in with a comment about Hooch’s resignation and Yze bringing a bit of change and it’s not hard to presume he thought Hooch and the players had lost their way and perhaps Hooch needed to go anyway.
That’s why earlier in the year BG stated he was looking forward to getting under the hood…
I think BG didn’t like what he found, hence the little gut punches.

Not sure I asked the question correctly but I think you are saying Yze finished 2nd to Brad Scott at essendon.
If that is the case then he was 2nd to Kingsley and to Brad Scott and Essendon were in reality always looking for an experienced head coach.
He has been in the mix for others I suspect.
These fields are pretty competitive and in some ways it depends on whether a coach suits a club as well.
I wouldn’t read too much into it tbh
Yze has finished 2 nd on 3 occasions!

Exactly I’m not reading too much into that.

It wasn’t meant to be and he is our coach now.

One thing was reinforced during this mornings presser.
Brendan Gale is the best in the business. Bar none.
So composed, controls the narrative, articulate and authoritative.
