Perfect appointment. With Carlton on the rise we got the Albanian Mafia to take on Lygon Street.

Ahem it is

I guess all that is left is to argue whether Caro just went with what everyone in the industry, including us mug punters, already knew, or she just guessed and got lucky.
Nah I think we now know that Caro is either @Scoop or they have a strong relationship! :ROFLMAO:

Richmond is delighted to announce it has appointed Adem Yze as the Club’s new senior coach.

Yze, 46, becomes the Club’s 42nd VFL / AFL senior coach following a rigorous appointment process led by Richmond CEO Brendon Gale.

Richmond president John O’Rourke said the board unanimously accepted the recommendation of the panel, which also included Vice-President Henriette Rothschild, General Manager – Football Performance Tim Livingstone, General Manager – Football Talent Blair Hartley, Football Australia Performance Director Paddy Steinfort and General Manager – Football, Melbourne Storm Frank Ponissi.

Geez Dermott giving Yze a big pump up. Said his reputation at Hawthorn was that he as tactically brilliant as they come. “Tactically as good as anyone the game has seen” were his exact words.

Dermie said Yze brings a bit of X factor to his coaching and that Clarkson wouldn’t like him saying it, but the game changed whilst he was at Hawthorn and Yze was the architect of Hawthorns game style and driving it with the players.

He said it was brave of Richmond to appoint him given he’s missed out a couple of times but said it was the right decision. Big wraps from Dermie and I hope Yze lives up to it all.

Good luck young man

Bit nervous about this appointment but probably would have been with any of the others that were being bandied about as well.

Good luck to the man. This is the greatest sporting club in the free world.

The journey begins again.

All good but I'm still interested in how he missed the other jobs. Knighta beat Dimma in the Bummers job....how?

Got the feeling he'll weed out the poorly skilled players and make us a much better skilled team overall

Great news, I was hoping for an external appointment. Whilst Mini has been good, I would have been nervous with him as our coach since the last caretaker coach who was appointed for the next season woiund up being no good (unleash the giesch)

He had me when he identified that the players were not working hard enough. Discipline, skills and structure have been severely lacking. I think he’s the man to bring some back.

I think this is a good appointment. We have quite a few players who probably need to re-prove themselves to new eyes on the coaching team.
Interesting to see if Yze considers returning Daniel to our forward line too.
