What are the rumours why Yze was passed over previously? I'm ignoring Essendon, as they wanted Hird or another experienced coach and didn'treally have a process. But he missed GWS and Adelaide (?).

Hey @gutfull ...... as this fella came up in conversation yesterday, I thought I'd ask.
Did you know a bloke named Steve Frazer who also was a porter at the HH around that era?
Loved telling us how much he pocketed in tips and who he met.
Done ok for himself.... owns a huge chunk of the Yarra Valley these days.

The thing, for me, about Mcqualters coaching audition is that I didn’t see any great changes to the game plan. It was haphazard, bomb it in forward with no connection to the forward line and was unskilled. Now whether Yze can address this who knows.

Getting Plough was only wall papering over the massive cracks with the club at the time. Not entirely Terry’s fault what happened

To be fair he was pretty much on the record from the start that there wouldn’t be sweeping changes to the gameplan mid season.

Kingsley has largely adapted our gameplan at GWS. McRae at Pies. Key difference is quality of personnel. We need more speed & better disposal to compete.
