Acceptance - we are now a middling side

We'd have 2.5 wins this morning if Jack Reiwoldt had played, even with a side playing 25% of a game.

If hes injured or fatigued (by easter?)

Then thats bad luck,

But if it was a predetermined discretionary week off,

Then call me Kane Cornes,

Cause id regard it as arrogant and incompetant
It’s the latter EZY.

You don’t leave football geniuses like Jack in the stands.

Then thats 4pts voluntarily relinquished.

Im talking to my bookie right now,

Getting a price in finishing 5th, 4 points behind Carlton, with a superior %

However, this time in 2017, we had Ty Esler at CHF

Jack might’ve offered something more than Ryan, sure.

So we win by a goal, let’s say. Still no guarantee of finals, still flaky as all get out, still bleeding clearances.

And Ryan doesn’t get another game, back to the VFL bereft of confidence.

It’s an Indian summer we don’t need. Jack isn’t the answer.

I’m with you but we’ve gotta sort out the centre bounce ruck department ASAP; it’s not working at all.
Thats easy sack the dud coach that is resposible for stoppage work. We are too defensive and reactive. Get positive and on the move. It’s what the Bullfrogs and Skunks do

Officially a convert to this Subject Title now - was pretty hopeful till last night. Yet another game our boys only play 1/4 of footy. Grrrrrrrr

110% we are a middling side.
We don't have any skill.
We don't have a Ruckman
We are close to worse kicking side I've seen.
Unless Hardwick starts playing the Banks Biggies Brown etc where going no where.
Our game plan in the wet was shocking. I can't understand that at 3qtr time he couldve said to them stop with the handballs and go long. No we had Balta charging through the guts to decide to chip a lolly pop kick in, then Ralphsmith gets the ball at half back only to sidewards to a bloke that struggled all day to get proper connection on his kicks Cumberland. Turn over goal.
We can't blame Tarranto & Hopper. Tarranto has gone from a accumulater with crisp finishing skills to a panic merchant. Maybe the noise of the crowds effect him. He needs time. Hopper is as fit as me. 5 steps and that's plenty. I struggled to get over the foot bridge but I put in the hard yards.
Besides Flappers & Rioli everyone else on that list has gone backwards.
Sonie needs to play every week.
Miller just because of want to see what a Richmond player on the wing looks like when he takes a mark.
Nakas, I'm sorry should never had been selected as captain.
Ralphsmith needs to stay in, at Least he chases and can break the lines.
How good was it to watch Dustin Martin? It's emotional.
It's hard because, where we are at? playing against an extra 4 dosent help either.
The umpires will cause alot of people to leave the game.
The stand rule is such a imbecile rule.
I think we at the cliffs edge, either Hardwick finds kids to fills the spots left by Edwards Lambert Astbury Houli or we have a hawthorn 4-5 seasons in no man's land.
After 3 flags I will give them time to regroup and rebuild.
How good was Sonie's thanks for coming on the half back line?

Our draw to start the season has been so tough compared to many other sides. I find it hard to get a read on us just yet despite consecutive losses. The teams we have played so far are all showing good form.

Brutal draw TOO. All top 8 teams. But we haven’t been disgraced.

Hopper was the catalyst in the second qtr. 9 disposals and a goal…. 16 and 1.2 for the half…Was in the mix doing the work. Then like plenty others - disappeared after half time.

Draw is irrelevant - if you want to be the best u have to beat the best. We can’t do that

It has, but most of the time the draw is a crap shoot. Who expected the Aints to be this good and the Cats this bad? The only way fix the draw is to make it random and get rid of scheduled blockbuster games. Every team plays every team once until Rd 18, then you back to playing the team you played in Rd 1 and so until the end of the season, then start the new season playing whoever you were due to play the next round.

If we play 6-7 quarters in september like the adelaide and footsrcay quarter

We give the flag a shake.

But if tarranto hopper dion dusty and shai have less clearances combined than one oppo mid, bont in this case,

We wont beat GC or Hawks.

Its fixable.

Might have to 'manage' a few blokes in their 20s, who are bludging and cant *smile* kick

I am upbeat on our prospects.
We are experimenting with a new style of play and when it works we are unbeatable.
Great signs from what I am seeing.

Overlap handball...Run N Gun is our new gameplan. suited to dry weather.
We are overusing handball as per Coaches instructions is my guess. we just need to tweak the game plan a little.

Agree , but puzzling how bad our skills and disposal is and it's mostly our senior players killing us to can't get that right your going no we're. And the brain fades continuously.
