9 rounds in 6 Weeks - Player availability concern?

It seems pretty accurate to me. The next few games are going to be telling. We haven't beaten anyone of note.

the only other side of slight note, we played like *smile* and drew with them?

there aren't really any sides of note.

the bookies have a different favourite every week and have now just put the top 6 equal favourites pretty much.

theres only really one side of note, and we can't play them

everyone is blind.

we lost 8 premierships of experience and immediately bought in 6.

we are deeper and better than everyone,

probably twice as good as 2nd best

but obviously I dont want the media or bookies learning footy braille

If we beat the Giants we will make it really difficult for them. They will have played 6 out of 8 games at Giants stadium and are 3/4 from the 1st 7. Thats a pretty crappy record for a supposed premiership favourite with so many games in the 1st 8 rounds at their home ground.

Unless the AFL goes against what they have done in the first 12 rounds, all this talk of West Coast not leaving WA again looks to be crap.

Its clear from the first 12 rounds that the AFL is trying not to fixture teams in their "home" games against the tenants of that ground. Ie. I haven't yet seen a "home" game at the Gabba featuring Brisbane as the away team. Same goes with Gold Coast at Metricon, the WA clubs (aside from the derby etc).

Therefore, West Coast have already had 7 fixtured home games, with a 17 round season the AFL will need to fixture some teams with 9 home games and others with 8, so you would think West Coast will play home games against GWS in either round 13 or 14 and then will only play once more at Optus this season.

Oh and I'd bet that we are going to be that side they play. There are only 3 teams to not yet be fixtured against West Coast and Fremantle and thats us, the Dogs and North. Expect us and North to travel to Perth towards the end of the season.

Hope you’re right. The moaning and whinging from way west will be epic.

If they do that, I suspect we might have a bit of a road trip, sort of as a punishment because the media hung us out to dry with all those games at the G last season.

What about this as a guess

Round 13 - Bye
Round 14 - Essendon (home game in Darwin)
Round 15 - West Coast (away game)
Round 16 - Fremantle (away game)
Round 17 - Adelaide (away game)
Round 18 - Geelong (home game at Metricon)

Send us on the road for more than a month once we factor in the quarantine period

would be a perfect finale to the strangest season ever?

The opposition haven't really been to flash over the last 3 weeks but given who's out we did really well to come away with 3 wins.

Now it will start to get tough though. With only Cotch & perhaps Dave to come back anytime soon it will really stretch us. But if anyone can do it we can.
