sounds like we'll have a bye in the last block of games? somewhere between rd 13-17?
There needs to be 18 rounds in total so that each team plays 17 and has one bye.

To fix Richmond, it's likely we'll get our bye in round 18 so that we don't have the now traditional post-bye run to the finals we have enjoyed over the last few years. As a further fixture set, try and reduce the number of games we get at our other home ground, the Gabba.

Not crazy about a 4 day break with travel, but looking at the fixture, we're not the only ones to have to do this. But they need to make this happen for a few more sides. I really don't get why we have a 4 day break followed by a 9 day break, surely we could have got 5 days then 8?

Thanks @caesar! .......I've taken the liberty of chucking in a shortcut:)
Great interview, Dimma stumbles on his words sometimes but what a ripper he is.

As an aside, I clearly have totally removed all memory of the Swans game, II had completely forgotten about Dekka playing until Dimma's comments reminded me

yeah - some scheduling doesn’t make perfect sense.

i note the AFL have come out and announced that the bumbers will play finals this year.

I think it is pretty unique and exciting times to watch the footy. Now that we are playing our normal style again, to be able watch them 1-2 times a week is awesome.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Caddy's wing role. I wonder if they will push Broad or Baker up to the wing if Dave is fit or they will bring in someone else. I think Graham/Pickett look a lot better as a rotation mids than as wingers so hopefully they don't move them.

I actually prefer George on the wing . He tore it up last week when he was around the half back line.

Great interview.

More about the guy answering the questions than the knuckleheads asking them.
Geeper and Wispy. Eff me.
Anyway Dimma was honest. Although not sure if he was totally honest on Butts.
He cringed when they asked him how do you feel when you see what he does at St.K.
He said he was the only guy that was uncontracted. Put it down to bad timing.

Thing is if you want the guy you contract him.
End of.

I think he got this one wrong.
At 24 Butts will be kicking our Butts for 8 years.

I think he was very gracious about it. Pretty much admitted it was a mistake. In true Dimma style he praised the kid and his family. All class is Dimma.

Dont think Dimma is going to start doing a Rucciuto and teeing off at players who have left the club. He is always very complimentary towards opposition players - so his response did not surprise me in the slightest. They obviously had their reasons for letting him go and were willing to do so knowing how Butler would go elsewhere.

Even texts Butler to say "well played". Real mark of the man.

Any wonder our boys love him?

Time will tell but so be it.
I‘d be surprised if he lasted that long but
A decision - and a tough one at that - had to be made at the time and right now I’m still comfortable with what happened
We should always have been able to cover for his absence with the kids on our list and hopefully that’s how it will pan out

AFL 2020 fixture: How AFL ladder will look after round 12

FALLING

Richmond (4-2-1)

Fixture: GWS (Giants Stadium), Bulldogs (Metricon), Brisbane (Gabba), Port Adelaide (Adelaide Oval), Gold Coast (Gabba)

The Tigers loom as one of the teams that could go either way during this period. If they stay on a roll, road games against the Giants, Lions and even the Power won’t scare them. But until they beat a top eight side the jury is out — and failing to win more than three of these games will likely see them fall out of the top four.
