2024 Richmond Coach

The players have done him no favours the last two weeks. They either don't care or he's just not getting any response from them. It's a shame but i think we need a fresh face

Thank god we are seeing this now, at least we can cross his name off the list, rather than find out round 4 next year, after we've given him a 3 year contract.

We need a coach that wants to change the way we play. We don’t know if Mini will pitch something different to what is being served up, but doesn’t look good for him. Our current gameplan is horrible to watch and doesn’t stack up against good teams. I hate Marvel stadium, but the fact remains, it shows just how unskilled we are, and how we lack run, polish, defensive pressure and class. There’s a lot to fix.

'So mini, can you give us an example of when youve been proactive and creative? Where youve read the game and reacted before others?'

'Um we'll, 40 points down near 3/4 time against saints, i could clearly see that Soldo and Nank where running in concrete boots, so i creatively and proactively subbed off soldo'

'Riiiiiiiigggghhhhht. Um, ok, yep. Great!!!'

He has proven he is tooo matey with the players. He hasn't done anything to show he can change the way we play. No positional changes and in 11 weeks no player has improved playing under him.
This decision could set us back 20 yrs.

First question for the coaching panel should be will you ever make soft *smile* excuses that give the team a soft out

Second question how do you play at telstra dome

middling list trending to poor.

new tactics, new outlook, new hope.

Don't the players love him? Why aren't they playing for him? Some home truths need to be told at the club. It has fallen off a cliff this year; on top of the blown chances from last season. Big changes in playing and coaching ranks required.

Take our medicine and rebuild. Go to the draft. We will have good picks next year.
Agree with all of this. The home truth is that our present team is no where near good enough to finish in the top 4, and is probably flattered by currently being ahead of GC and the Hawks.
And it won't be a soft landing as most of the players who we might have got some value from trading out, aren't worth much now.
The lack of effort was also disappointing. Not Mini's fault for mine, all on the players who hopefully gave some thought to Cotch and the jumper before they ran out.

Two games to go. Not sure of their present contactual situations but on their years work to date we need to go to the draft and established players, Graham, Grimes, McIntosh, Pickett, Riewoldt and Soldo will, or should, have to jump mountains to hold on.
