Let’s see if Mini can get us up to play against the Sinners & Roos
If it’s another loss/thrashing bring on Carr

i don't think we'll be appointing a new coach before the end of the season..

if that's what you're asking?

We’re three years off the back end of a dynasty.

Dunno why we would be gunning for Hartley or Clarke.

Our best pick over the successful period was the Gibcus top tenner. He’ll be a very good player.

Apart from that it’s been in the spec range, as befitting a top team. Some may have been nailed, too early to tell.

Hartley and Clarke made a litany of decisions contributing to our dynasty. They aren’t our problem IMO.

The problem is the list itself. A senescent list, the inevitable result of success.

Let’s not get distracted. Sure, the wider coaching group needs to be bolstered by the extra $$ a young coach will create.

But the critical issue for the club is playing personnel.

Cos the more I look at our list the more I think we’re headed for a bottom six finish in 2024.

Our next coach shouldn't be between Mini or Carr, it should be the person with the best presentation & credentials after the club has done their due diligence.

I'm thinking Carr as at the moment Hardwick is still at richmond via his coaching panel and game plan and we have not been good against quality sides.

Troy Chaplin's name has been mentioned. Currently assistant coach with the Dees..:peepwall
I thought he spoke like a future coach at Club 80 when he was a player, and thought he organised our defence well before the premiership era. I have no idea how he stacks up otherwise but I'm not going to discount him.

But if he didn't apply we move on.

How the hell would anyone know who might be or might not be a great coach?

Only those doing the interviews would have any idea.

Mini has done okay. With the current team would Hardwick have done better I am not so sure.

Josh Carr seems shiny and new but I wouldnt have a clue about him.

Every year there are one or two assistants whose names get thrown around as the next messiah.

I remember I was wrapped when we beat out Hawthorn to get Wallace to come to the club. That turned out well.
