2024 Richmond Coach

Yeh, agree snake. And personally I am excited about seeing this "new" group of tigers..

We (well actually the core group of players/coaches) achieved more than most could have dreamed. 3 flags! Those memories can never be taken away. They are treasured.

We took a shot this year, we needed everything to go right and it didn't. But this premiership was and is up for grabs. Our best was good enough. It doesn't diminish this group. It doesn't diminish the three flags. The *smile* about could dimma really coach, was it purely that we had dusty, etc etc is just noise. 3 flags in 4 years is not down to any single thing. (although in my mind it was all GEORGE).

It's time for a new era. New ideas. Fresh players. We need to embrace change. I'm looking forward to see it evolve.
Not sure I’ve got another 37 years left in me for a rebuild!
Throw in crap new rules, horrible umpiring, disgraceful standard of commentators/general media and top it all off with the price of beer, and it starts feeling ugly.
But then the preseason starts and you get the stirring in the loins and you realise, you’re an addict.

Hey, don't kill my fantasy as a teenager!!!
Always some bloody idiot wants to kill off n delete an iconic moment in sporting history. End of the day it was the only thing worth remembering n smiling about.

For a few years, I haven’t heard great things about Yze and why, ultimately, he’s been overlooked for a few jobs.

But who knows. He could be great. Just what I’ve been told.
You can be sure that if you have heard them then others have as wells. I can’t imagine that there are too many secrets about coaches in the industry?

Exactly, and you can bet Benny and the Jets have heard them too. Yet he has made the final two and may well be the chosen one.

Says to me we don't put much stock in what's being said about him, or it's something they believe is overblown otherwise he wouldn't have made it this far, particularly ahead of applicants with great character such as Chris Newman.

Do not know anything about Yze, except what I have read on PRE.
Therefore not overly excited about the two remaining choices.
Whoever they choose, hope they have a new mindset on how to have the Tigers roaring again.

Balme is the key to all this and would know Yze well as he coached him.

Whomever gets it, I hope they give Michael Barlow a call. Seems to have done great things at Werribee.

Whoever gets the gig I hope they fix the forward/midfield mix. I hope they head down the same path as Kingsley has done at the Giants this year and play with six genuine forwards instead of trying to fit the surplus mids in the forward line.

I’m honestly surprised co-coaches hasn’t been considered by a team. Spread the load, less pressure on an individual, more collaboration and less need for meaningless assistants.
For example Mini and Yze would be great. Some old tried and true method and some new

No thanks there should always be 1 head coach and assistant (forward, midfield, backline) coaches

Couldn't see it working personally.
