Apologies if I’ve mentioned my story on here before re concussions, however as my great Tiger mates on here know I suffered multiple concussions when I was younger a few I have no memory of and only know of because dear old mum told me about when I started seeking treatment many years later due to the problems they were causing I.e depression, memory loss , bad grammar
.
My point is I’ve lived it and understand the repercussions it can cause in day to day life , great example , I was walking my dogs a few weeks back and as I put my head down , one of the pooches turned around accidentally head butting me , instant stars , nearly K Oed , anyway basically spent the next 5 days with dizziness and feeling like I was going to spew . Common knowledge once you’ve had concussions it’s so easy to get one , I actually don’t like been tapped gently on the head .
Such a tough tough call for the recruiters and the families of these young men and women hoping to make a career out of playing AFL football .
My great mate
@Tigers of Old once asked me would you have given it away if you knew what you were going to have to go through later in life , as I said geeez I don’t know , though the memories not great , what I do remember is best bloody times of my life playing footy with my mates and what being involved in a footy club is , in saying that not a chance in hell I’d let my son continue on if he had been knocked out and had side effects .
Again geez what a call for Trainor etc
