Have seen quite a bit of him and hope we are interested. No chance he lasts to rookie or pre-season draft. Believe we will
seek 8 players at the National draft and hopefully Sam with our last, or preferably split our last and take him somewhere after 40.

May be wrong but my understanding is we can’t take him at the preseason unless he nominates for the national draft and fails to be picked up.

I thought that only applied to listed or delisted players
Those that havent been on a list could be picked up

He'll nominate for the mid-year and we take him first pick. Sign for 2 years, then list him permanently.

If Davidson is doing 6 years worth of study & wants to see it out before embarking on an afl career he'll have to wait until the end of next year?

He maybe an OK player, but not at the level that you don’t use #24 which should provide a much better player imo.

Who do you prefer between Hannaford and Hynes. Both play that Toby Greene role.

Hynes to me resembles Stringer as he roams the forward line. He is obviously stronger than his peers, but as that evens out at afl can he still thrive?

I like Hynes but Hannaford sold me in the Coates GF. I like to see signs of elite talent that separates these kids from their peers, stuff you don’t tend to learn.
Hannaford could read the bouncing ball inside a pack and pluck it out, a bit like Jagga. That and kicking goals, post high, from 55 out are things you are born with.

I am not an expert on juniors, that’s the caveat, but to me looking at those highlights and from what I have seen already if we got Lalor, o’Sullivan and Jagga Smith that would be a dream. Sets us up for a decade in the midfield.

Add to that a young developing KPF then everyone else is a bonus.

I remember Danny Frawley announcing the arrival of Luke Weller as just the guy we needed as he stood under packs too. Or was that Morrison. Both came from Brisbane

Either way prefer the guy that stands on heads
