2023 mid-season rookie draft

Buller subbed off after 2 possessions in 3 quarters.

May need to pack up the pitchforks for at least another week.
He just couldn’t get into it. Or near it. Will probably get dropped too.

Trezise is a good player,l can see him eventually being a decent wing man .
I don't get the love for Teal ,he is a outside defender ,needs to get better in contested situations.

Glad you went with that one.

Maybe is a bit of a fairy tale getting KPF with potential to win a Coleman in the mid-season draft. I could have sworn we missed the second coming of Jesus (note: not McJesus)

Funny how one of our own is promising and competes with a bright future but anything similar is a dud.

So many beanies on too tight. Drink the kool-aid and don’t dispute the over Lords.

I thought Teal played really well in the all-stars game, his contested work was noteworthy, granted this was only against teenagers but I'd be cutting him some slack given he's had a wretched run with injury. I think his agility gives him a shot at making the grade, reminds me a bit of Tom Doedee with his ability to sidestep out of trouble. In any case, there's no reason we can't keep him on the books, definitely worth keeping on the VFL list.

There is a reason why he is not on a AFL list,he is a outside receiver .
IF he can improve his contested and defensive game ,and be consistent ,he might get picked up by a club.
He played the later part of last year in the NAB Cup ,and as far as l know he hasn't been injured this year,he's played VFL/coates u19 for oakleigh as well as AFL all stars matches.

Teal can't make our VFL team ATM.

Think that says how far is away from being on an AFL list.

Geez that's shitful hard on the young bloke. Knee reco n missed last year now he follows it up with a stress hot spot in the back. Footy can be an awful cruel n evil game sometimes.
Isn’t it the second Essendon player with a similar issue TMassochist?

Brandon Ryan from the Bullants getting a bit of interest. Saw him when we played against the Bullants, looks like a footballer. Tall (200cm) with a nice easy left foot. Took a couple of nice marks. 25 years old, been kicking around the VFL with Essendon and Geelong as well as suburban teams for a while.
Brandon Ryan to make his debut for Hawthorn this weekend, a true mature ager at the ripe old age of 25! Was playing suburban footy last year.
