What I find amusing is when the 'draft expert's' say a particular player is bolting up the draft order. How can that be when they havent played a game in over a month?
I've only watched his champs games. He's an inside mid who tends to throw it on the boot or blindly handball forward. For one so athletic you don't see him bursting from stoppage. Even in space he can just blast long straight to defenders. Strong tackler. Needs coaching. Not for me, though. If we take him all my afore-mentioned players better be off the board. How bad? How good is the good? Butchers are not what we need.
Spot on (at last.)MehCauliffe. Athletic and strong but a bit of a butcher.
If Yze is true to his word about footskills then its a big NO.Spot on (at last.)
Possibly one of, if not the most aggressive on ballers in the Draft. Great tackler. Inside workhorse. But lacks
class. Disposals are hit and miss - not just kicking, but handballs as well. Gives away a lot of frees ( would fit in with us then I guess).
He’d need to tidy up big time on the disposal front.
Pfft. Every time I hear a coach say that, I call BS. Hooch said the same thing and we had sides (successful and not) that had a number of players with poor footskills. If Yze is true to his word about footskills then its a big NO.
Kinnear Beatson very much agrees with this sentiment. What I find amusing is when the 'draft expert's' say a particular player is bolting up the draft order. How can that be when they havent played a game in over a month?
Juddy Clarke clone? We rate him extremely highly.
Unfortunately, well gone by our pick.
Scoop draft rule 423 Section B : Beware the bolter after all footy has been played. Feel like James Leake, is this years. What I find amusing is when the 'draft expert's' say a particular player is bolting up the draft order. How can that be when they havent played a game in over a month?
I don't think so, more of a winger / back flanker. Reminds me of Jayden Short.Juddy Clarke clone?
It's basically code for:What I find amusing is when the 'draft expert's' say a particular player is bolting up the draft order. How can that be when they havent played a game in over a month?
Agree with the rule 100%, but not the example. I've been a Leake sceptic, was OK in the champs but overrated IMO, but then he had a great finish to the season with Tassie in the Coates league, forward and back, which is what his rise up the boards was based on, and the fact he's tall and quick.Scoop draft rule 423 Section B : Beware the bolter after all footy has been played. Interesting tidbit on Connor Sullivan from Mark McVeigh on Connor O' Sullivan when asked if the Bombers should draft him "Yes! Will play 200 games!"
McVeigh had coached him.
OR, some recruiting department are hopeless and can't remember as far back as the champs so we'll jump on hypey bandwagons. It's basically code for:
Media/experts got the player wrong and are now catching on that clubland have (and usually for a good while now) had them rated higher.
Is that really a pressing need?I don't think so, more of a winger / back flanker. Reminds me of Jayden Short.
Not for me. But if he was on the board at our pick you'd have to take him. Won't happen tho.Is that really a pressing need?
Dimma talked the talk but didn't follow through (with direction to the recruiting team), probably because as an average kick he didn't fully believe in it (as the be all and end all).Pfft. He could be a very good replacement for Grimesy.
