2023 Draft Thread.

All Australian, performed at the elite level, mobile, scope for improvement, plays at either end, kicks well.

Murphy an absolute no-brainer if he is on the board. Everyone else has major question marks.
I like the cut of your jib here. Unfortunately, even if he’s there, I don’t see Clarke taking him.

Whats your concern with Shoey?
Not enough toe?
Too outside?

In his highlights package, I didn't see 1 contested possession so I'm not really sure of his role. Would he be an intercepting half back, maybe, but they need to be tough in the contest in order to defend. Is he a winger? Not sure, again, you need to compete well. When he has the ball in his hands I have no issue, is a good kick, penetrating particularly, but its work off the ball that I haven't seen anything and I just don't know if I see what role he would even play at AFL level because of that.

Agree, Murphy would be my number 1 target here. As I mentioned earlier, I'd even throw a F3 to move up the board to get him. Out of pretty much everyone left on the board he seems to have the biggest upside. Sure there's some issues around his application, but we had those concerns around Sonsie which is why he fell and it seems they were incorrect assumptions, now he's injury free his application from what Caesar has said is great. I reckon in an AFL environment, those concerns over Murphy would disappear.

3.3 for 20 is a bit of a query and no doubt a big reason he's slipped.

It dosent matter who we pick
Clarke 'we are over the moon he was there at our pick'
'We thought he wouldn't be there'

Bit of Joe Daniher about him

High chance.

There was an article a few weeks ago that mentioned that other clubs consider us a bit non consensus at Draft time. Bit alternative. Off Broadway. Weirdos ! :ROFLMAO:
Our rating system from what I have heard is unique. Hence why get these players no one has talked about.

The other thing you can bank on is one of our two picks being from WA.

Looking forward to listening to the endless dribble from Shifter Sheahan and his side kicks.

If that's accurate, he wont have the closing speed to stop a leading forward and he wont be able to get separation from a backman
with decent closing speed.
