2022 - March to the finals

Did a ladder predictor:

Even if we lose to GC, Brisbane and Fremantle (we won't lose all three) we STILL make it into the finals. EVEN if we lose another one to Port away, we will make it.

The reason?

The Saints and Dogs can't make it, their draws look beyond them.

As a side note, I have us playing Fremantle in the GF :)

More seriously, Fremantle finishing top 2 will shape September, make no mistake. Could be a high profile car crash or two (I'm looking at you Melbourne and Brisbane)

Its also possible for Freo to miss the finals

We look horrendous trying to get a centre clearance without Prestia. Tiger coaches don't appear able to fix this.

Prestia is elite. Players like him don’t grow on trees. The club fitness staff and Dion himself have done a great job managing his condition in previous seasons.

Just pray they can do it again.

our full ground defending is a concern. we've got the most kicked against us in the top 12.
we are however the 2nd highest scoring team
very un-hardwick like
not sure what's happening and how it'll pan out.
these stats don't win flags so we need to fix something quickly

I’d like to see this stat from round 5 onwards

1. Carlton MCG. LOSS
2. GWS MCG. Win 1
3. Stk. MVL. LOSS
4. WBD. MCG. WIN 2
5. Adel. AO. LOSS
6. Melb. MCG. LOSS
7. WCE. Perth. Win 3
8. Coll. MCG. WIN 4
9. Haw. MCG. Win 5
10. ESS. MCG. WIN 6
11. SYD. SCG. Loss
BYE
12. Port MCG. Win 7
13. Carl MCG. Win 8
14. Geel. MCG. LOSS
15. WCE MCG. WIN 9
16. Suns. GC. LOSS
17 Nth. MVL
18. Freo. MVL
19. Lions. MCG
20. Port. AO
21. Haw. Mcg
22. Ess. MCG
If we beat north
And freo beat Sydney (perth Optus)
And Geelong beat Carlton (mcg)
We should be 6th

Not enough chatter about how we need the MCG to win games.

Only way we win away at the moment is against a basket case like WCE used to be

But I believe north are a basket case
Freo and bris don’t travel well
And we’ll have our better players back
Port Adelaide away / that’s a loss
We’ll beat hawks and Essendon
14 wins

Last night will either make them or break them. Had a very similar stench to the eagles game last year. Hope I’m wrong.
This is the concern for me. That was as devastating and demoralising a loss as you'd see. Will we completely disintegrate like we did in 2021 after the Eagles game?

The injury toll certainly won't help.

interesting, only one other team has scored more than us this year

Did the ladder predictor last night: had us coming 4th with 14 wins, Collingwood 10th with 13! Might be unbelievably tight.
