"2009 Official PRE Draft thread'

OK...I have to go on the prowl, so while I know Tigerdog is out there hunting i have to move this on, sorry mate tried to give you time.

Kiwi picks Chris Mayne FRE...

I am going to go with Kieren Jack from Sydney, I am wrapt to get him, really though he would be a young gun taking with some of the others earlier. Hasn't got the class but has the elite defensive side, his tackling was in the Top 25 of the league (not bad for a kid who only played 2 or 3 games before 08).

He proved effective already in some run with/shut down roles.

That's cool mate. Have been trying to decide who to take. Jack was one of them...good get.

I will take Byron Schammer.

It's much of a muchness at this stage.

My catch up pick,

Tigerbob selects;

Des Headland - Fremantle Football Club

I have a fondness for Dessie, when he was at Brisbane a loveable bloke, and can play football. In my line up he comes off the bench to add to my midfield rotation and forward line options. As another option rather than a vital player, Dessie will be dangerous.

Sorry DD

Tannerz picks Nathan Eagleton.

I like this pick up highly.

I recall picking him up last year. He can play back flank, mid or half forward. I like him on half forward or on the wing. Has great pace and a beautiful kick.

Just as well you picked now, cos that's exactly where I had him pegged, can kick 3 goals in a burst off mid/hff - ideal impact player. Also, named in their five man leadership group for 2009!

U2 picked at 7.04pm

Both Scoop & Capt have had 2 hours each.

Your turn Pharace.

Thanks mate, but at the risk of upseting Scooper, I have to wait until 9.04am tomorrow (technically - feel a bit stupid for the sake of 4 minutes) but "rules is rules Thommo" (XXXX Jinglish)

I have Capt's pick at the ready..........

I'm not sure what the rules are now but I know Scoop's had heaps of time.

He could've left a pick with someone if he wanted to.

Pharace, you can lay both the Capt's & your cards down if you want to.

Especially if you insult his tattoo! :hihi

P.S: Just remembered U2 said I could have the night off, but it's morning...so I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! ;D

Indeed, rules are rules, as infuriating as it can be at times they must be adhered to.

For a change, Pharace is right (damn that hurt to say....)

NOW....

You are all very naughty...I'm gone most of one day and you can't even get through a round of picks...disgraceful...*tsk tsk*..Hang your heads in shame... ;D

*Cracks whip*

There will be none of those shenanigans tomorrow, rest assured.... :police:

Houli, Bachar.

Had the hallmarks of a 10 year footballer in his first year. The late rounds still have a lot of gold in them.

Dammit, I was about to pick Harding.

Oh well I pick Angus Monfries.

Was deciding between the two - Harding just a bit more hardnosed, but I do think Monfries gets a bad rap on here at times - bit more courage than people say..........

Now Ian, if memory serves me, Dyer Dyer has all Maddy's picks, so if you hang around you might get to pick straight away, then so can eager beaver Phanto, then we call go about our daily business........ :)
