"2009 Official PRE Draft thread'

I'm still confused.

Does this mean Tannerz didn't pick Ashley Hansen last night? He chose Lance Whitnall's burger buddy instead.

What was your particular reason for picking Brogan?  :hihi :stir

Yes.

Warnock was a speculative pick. A 205cm ruckman who hasn't played much AFL but could end up an A grader.
But it's still a speculative pick.

Brogan is a good & experienced B grade ruckman to change with him.

Besides, all good sides have 2 ruckmen.

And the best sides have a 3rd as an emergency, in case one breaks down or loses form.

Eg: Haw -> Campbell, Taylor & Renouf.

Grrrr this is getting frustrating, my computer just had a seizure and lost my post so have to re-type...grrr...

Your quite right TOT, it's getting confusing due to the skipped pick. I didn't realise they had moved into the next round since Tannerz wasn't due any pick let alone two, so I thought the last pick was in place of the one before. I see what they meant now.

OK...

A reset...(Please ensure it's your pick when you make one guys, it's very messy to clean up :help)

Tannerz does not have Dew...he has picked Hansen & Schulz.

It was Tiger 29's turn till 11am...(we are skipping Bobby's) which now makes it TOT70's turn until 1pm.

Back on track I hope?

Ok.

Then I pick Ryan Crowley from Freo.

Thanks for clearing that up, Daredevil.

Damn it. He will be the new Brady Rawlings come years end. He was my pick.

Checkers sent me a nice little stab in the heart this morning with her pick...

Andrew Welsh - Ess

Great player who I was really close to picking for my last few picks. Guess he had to go eventually.

Can be hit and miss this guy - had a real purple patch in 2008 though which kind lifts his appeal

Matthew White

Nice one.

Along with Jay Schulz, I had Matty on a short list. But there are heaps of options for pockets & flanks.

Agree on all accounts. All on my list but lots of options so not worried.

i will go with a player who can make a few mistakes, but he can play tall and small - 1 of which I think is a must in any backline ( ok - i got Pratt who can do it as well )

I pick josh Gibson

At this point in the draft, it is pretty rare to get someone from the All Aussie Squad but another hidden gem has been uneartherd.

Hayden, Roger - Freo Dockers.

Good response but will he perform from 2009-2015? ;D ;)

Good get on the flank so late.

Rakes up possessions for Freo although not as effective in '08 it must be said.
