Pretty severe injuries from memory (can't remember the exact nature of the main one). I have full confidence he will get back to showing his best footy in 09.

He collapsed just after midway through season in a game against Carlton and the medics had to puncture his lung or he would have died then and there, due to being unable to breathe.

Back at the hospital they found a cyst or something creating problems for him, season over of course.

So yeah..pretty serious injury.. :p

can remeber pettard in the junior nationals - he tore that apart. very good to watch.

Yes, he played a QB role from HB.

I was concerned that he, even then, had a repeated tendency to chip the ball rather than short pass it.

Phantom picks Brad Fisher-CAR.

solves a problem for me - don't think I could have overlooked him for my last HFF spot -

I've held back from writing him the last 3 rounds.

I want a little youth so Phantom taking him has talked me into skipping past 3 other aging HFF types as well. Thanks phanto.

Looking for someone to play a stay at home forward pocket. Has to be able to outmuscle people one on one, when Fev takes off on load he needs to have some footy smarts to be able to pick and choose when to lead and when to stay put. This guys will be eased back into the game via the forward pocket. Massive risk reward.

Hentschel, Trent Crows.

U2 selects Daniel Connors-Richmond.

I can't say no to Scott Welsh, put him back long enough-WBD.

Staggering one of the best small forwards of recent years is still there, keeps not being respected while kicking goals. In the top 17th in the league for marks inside 50, 18th in the league for goals kicked (his kicked 40+goals for the last 2 seasons, only played 6 matches in 06 and kicked 50+ in 06.)

Ok -

Need a HFF.

Was going to pick B. fisher for the last few picks. I also Had Corey Jones and Des Headland as my back up for him.

However I need a little youth, and a Tiger who most of us want to see play. Well I reckon a HFF is what he will become so,

This is pick for a player I want in the team, rather than a player who may be a better player in 2009. Just can't write Jones or Headland.

I pick Daniel Conners.

( funny thing is I'm a Pettifer fan - but I know people won't vote for a team with him in it ;D)

PS - cheers DD

i'll take my catch up pick now.

Tigerbob selects;

Brent Prismall - Essendon Football Club.

We all know he is injured, heard he may be back early around round 4, at worst half way through the year, has started running on it now early Jan so is a chance.

In any case, a good player that broke into a mighty Geelong team and before getting injured looked a real player for them. Will slot in nicely to my team starting forward and rotating through the midfield.

Well, he's just turning 25.

And 4 of my other forwards are under 23yo.
