Poor Brad Scott, ..... thought he was in for a nice cushy gig, makin Gils coffee, shining his shoes and calling Dutton when the home help needed a changeover.
First Dutton falls over and now he might actually have to do a bit to earn his coin!

17 game season
16 minute qtrs
Top 10 make finals
GF could/ most likely be played interstate.
Adelaide Oval or Optus

Lets win it again and bend these pricks over.

If the season gets called off its gonna be tough for a raft of players that are coming into the season in the sights of the axe at seasons end they wont get a chance to save their careers

I reckon it rarely makes any difference.
the club Cuts 5-6 every season and aren’t going to pick the guys who aren’t going to be getting contracts.
They give contracts to the guys who are going to be playing.

Dutton actually got sick from shaking hands with all the new immigrants.

This will be the asterisk flag.

I'll take a flag, free in a showbag.

a flag is a flag.

I reckon someone like Eddie is applying COVID mitigation model, to mitigating Richmond.

slow/contain the spread of Richmond premierships. we are a football pandemic. Its a matter of by how much, rather than if

send Pendles to Milan for the week, get the comp reduced, cancelled if need be.

just slow the spread of Richmonds premierships

Home ground advantage is only partly due to crowd participation/bias. Size and shape of ground and interference from prevailing winds would have a bigger influence. As would game style that suits the size of your ground

Sorry to be a stick in the mud but anything to back this assertion up or just an opinion.

I don’t have data but would think majority of difference is crowd Impact on umpire and potentially the home team.

Did that footballistics book look at this at all?

Yep. That's the 'stigma' on whoever wins this season. I'm afraid to say this season is f*cked before it started. At least we have 2 out of 3 and can take it a bit easier considering it could collapse anytime.

F*ck off corona. Bring on 2021.

Im using knowledge and logic.
Grounds have different sizes and wind conditions that teams get used to by training and practising in. Many grounds are different sizes with wind intricacies.
Geelong has small width and tight pockets. Fremantle’s wind. Sydneys short length.
Thought this was common knowledge??

Re umpires, Richmond has consistently the bottom end of umpiring frees differential but keep winning games. Does this strengthen my argument?
Richmond plays its home ground well, without umpires assistance. Can you offer up a better argument?

Not sure why whole league is shut down if one player is Positive. Surely that team doesn't play fir 2 weeks and those two matches are made up later in the season. Or am I overlooking something?

Just suspend the player and isolate for however long (i.e. he's injured)

We don't train at MCG, nor do any of the tenants. Adel teams don't train at AO. Yes we play at g a lot but so do the other tenants...and we beat them. Recently. Not in perpetuity.

Because if you've been in contact with a positive case, you should self-isolate.

Cameron Smith of Mebourne Storm said his players don't want to play. Games, training, travel put them all at higher risk which also puts their young families and elderly relatives at risk.

Sure there is actual statistical evidence of the impact crowds have on umpires particularly in soccer matches and that this explains much of the difference in performance. The unexplained could be weather, travel factors etc. The gap I have is whether this translates to AFL.

You have a credible theory That intuitively makes sense but nothing to support it which makes it an opinion. I’m not saying it’s wrong but for me it’s mainly the crowd effect. No biggie.
