I guess that's where I fundamentally disagree.
I see the game time that Nason has received this season as a far more valuable an education than having Cousins on one hand supposedly teaching others, yet on the other taking away experience from another first year player.
To me the Cousins scenario is exactly the same as we have seen on countless occasions in recent years when older players in decline(no doubt Ben is) have stepped aside despite still performing to a decent level to allow kids on the upward curve to improve.
Like I said if I saw us on the verge of something special next season, mine might be a different position but I see us as still a ways off and we need to get as much game time into kids as we can.

If he doesn't go on next year it will be interesting to see our youngsters go backwards or show little improvement when they don't have Cousins blocking for them and releasing them into space with his handballs as much as he does.

I think you are overstating his impact.
Ben Cousins is only 1 player and accounts for less than 5% of our team performance.
If some go backwards it'll hardly be because he isn't playing.

Saw the show, it came across as Aker was trying to get 1 back on Cuz.

TT said that friends close to Ben say that he will not play on next year even if the Tiges offer a contract. Doesn't make sense when he has been vocal about wanting to play on. Interesting times to see how this evolves.

As far as the doco is concerned can not wait to see it

On Sky News they just mentioned that it is unofficial that Cousins has decided that round 22 against Port will be his last match.

They did state it was unconfirmed that Cousins had told some friends of his decision not to play on next season.
