Hmm Hutchy on The Footy Show said a former West Coast associate of Cousins was taken to hospital on the same night as Cousins with the same symptoms.

Here is a novel idea for the coaches, when a player kicks a goal he is immediatly benched, im sure that in the scheme of things that counts as a rotation , actually it is two as the player needs to return to the field of play,

Cut the bulltish out and you suddenly have a lower number of rotations and the problem goes away, but are the coaches smart enough to see that?

More to that Cousins incident then we've been told. Sleeping tablets a nice cover though.

Why didnt Cruthcy name the player involved. We all know Cuz was in hospital why is it such a secret as to the other players name?
Come on Crutchy name them or :police: off

Correct Ian, and what Hutchy insinuated was that this other player similarly mixed caffeine uppers with alcohol and sleeping tabs.

And here lies the BS we were fed over the Cousin's incident.
If the stuff taken was the same, then Cousins DIDN'T have an "allergic reaction to sleeping tablets" as the public was fed, but in fact, Cousins mixed alcohol with sleeping tablets. (With the possible consequences of Cousin's body eventually shutting down and him stopping breathing altogether)

So this wasn't the case of blaming the 'evil' medication of doing something to his system, but Cousins possibly taking part in the dangerous, and sometimes fatal exercise of mixing booze and pills.

Which means the shoulder of blame, and stupidity, should fall at Cousin's feet and not some drug company who have tested the safety of their drugs when they ARE NOT mixed with alcohol.

In this incident, the drug companies and medicines in general get a kick, and Cousin's comes out a victim...or an eventually winner.

This was a Cousins stuff-up, nobody elses. Pure and Simple.

I don't believe it was ever an allergic reaction. I thought the consensus was that his meds changed, he took too many not realising they were a lot more potent and/or neglecting to read the dosage, and slipped away to la la land without anyone being able to wake him.

Is Cousins to blame ? Yes, absolutely. He took too many of his new prescribed drugs.

Yep. Nothing to see here.
Cousins overdosed on sleeping pills but everyone has moved on and so should Hutchy.
