hmm a plethora of draft picks. well i wish we were in their boat. in saying this if we had a plethora of picks this draft ilho do you think we should do what you advocate stkilda do.Leysy Days said:Leysy's gunna be in the minority here, but reckon the Saints made an error on the Cousins No-go.
They have a plethora of draft choices this year of which Cousins would be last. They will recruit everyone they want before him. On-field he would be an exceptional addition for what they need. Perfect fit.
The media would be all forgetting his past if he string few good games together. The media & the fans are an amazingly forgiving lot when things are going well.
& if it goes pear shaped, honestly how many are going to blame the saints & what will it cost them. He would be sacked within a flash & Cousins would be the one facing the brunt.
Reckon they might have missed a good opportunity here, especially considering the team needs.

What is the problem with drafting him. Are we afraid of having success at Tigerland.

RUNVS said:SHEEDS IS RIGHT. TAKE A PUNT. COUSINS WONT BE ABLE TO FART WITHOUT SOMEONE WRITING ABOUT IT IN THE PAPERS. SO HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF. HE WILL HAVE TO DO THE RIGHT THING.

RUNVS said:NO SECOND THOUGHT, COUSINS BY A COUNTRY MILE. FASTER, BETTER FOOT AND HAND SKILLS, DOESN'T STOP & PROP WHEN HE HAS THE BALL , CAN HIT A TARGET. ITS OKAY TO TAKE HISLOP (THIS TYPE WE ARE TRYING TO IRRADICATE BUT WE WONT TAKE COUSINS, WHAT A JOKE). SHEEDS IS RIGHT. TAKE A PUNT. COUSINS WONT BE ABLE TO FART WITHOUT SOMEONE WRITING ABOUT IT IN THE PAPERS. SO HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF. HE WILL HAVE TO DO THE RIGHT THING. GET HIM IN THE PSD U IDIOTS. HE IS WORTH THE PUNT EVEN FOR A YEAR. BETTER VALUE THAN SUGAR.
What disaster would he bring. If he falls off the wagon he falls off. Do you really think the rest of the team would start smoking crack with him after a game?pharace said:One previously drug affected, more recently a testing avoider with attitude won;t make enough of a difference on the field compared to the potential disaster he would bring. Don't risk it - some smart minds have already rulled him out - and they have more valid info on which to make a decision than you've had good feelings about RFC ;D
Have to admit Im a bit surprised none of the premiership contenders for next yea didnt give him a good once over. Still has a hope int he PSD though right?CC TIGER said:Im very surprised that a player at age 30 ,thats maybe in the best 100 players of all time cant get a gig anywhere
why richmond and essendon ,and where did you get your info from?tiger1966 said:Dont know if this is in the right spot , if not can it be moved to the rumor spot
But just found out that if Cousins was given a lifeline the only 2 clubs that could do that is Richmond and Essendon.
if true i do hope that we can get the chance of drafting him . people have their thoughts on him but at the end of the day all he did was admit to a problem.he was never detected by the afl, unlike the players that are on the 2 strike policy .
Cousins is a champion of the game, he is not a hero or role model, but he is a role model as far as the game is played and dose deserve the second chance.
richmond should take the chane and give him a go, imagine round 1 judd v cosuins that match up alone will get 80,000 into the m.c.g
thats all i heard, with sheedy having a go at C.C the other day nothing will surprise me, and essendon have been quiet in this matter, carlton committed to another player, brisbane have said no , melbourne have said no , dont know who the other club is that still has a pick.mtench said:why richmond and essendon ,and where did you get your info from?
