Re: Ben Cousins

Astonished that you guys wouldn't have the club spend a cup of coffee on the possibility of getting for nothing a player who has surely been in the top 10 AFL players over the last 10 years. ::)

The negatives outweigh the positives for a club in our position. He does have negatives, you know, your post seems to imply he doesn't.

Especially leadrership like Buckley and Clement leaving. Will be a big negative for the club.

Not that I mind..... :)

Re: Ben Cousins

No seriously times are tough and we deperately need to save money for the likes of that wonderful little footy god Jordy Mcmahon.

And the way he dances away from packs..what possessed me..clearly a far far better role model than badboy Ben.

You guys are soooo clever.

Re: Ben Cousins

*sigh*

Well, regarding Ben, I feel the only benefit of getting him is that he will provide outstanding leadership and be an incredibly tough trainer to show our young boys what it takes to become a star at AFL level.

I can't see Bowden and Tivendale inspiring the same kind of work ethic. Foley and Bling would but they're kids themselves.

He will most likely take up a position in our team for 2 years, but by replacing Tiv that isn't a problem.

I wouldn't have an idea whether his other "influences" would outweigh the positives... I will trust the club's judgement on that.

How long do you think we could get out of him Momentai?

And yes, a chat over coffee wouldn't hurt
Hardly ever been injured. One of the best trainers to pull on a boot. And with a lot to prove. 3-5.

Mom has the blinkers on with regards to this issue.

I'll be amazed if Cousins ever plays AFL football again.

It is one thing to oppose his coming to the Tigers last year but for you to be against even talking to Ben about 09 makes you a parsimoneous old fart in the first rank.

Re: Ben Cousins

Do us a favour will ya,

as there is no replay on Australianetwork drop your daks at half time and do a streak, that way Gustiger and I might get to see some footage of the game at least

and all of PRE will know what you look like. :hihi

Re: Ben Cousins

TOO,
Why would the club not want to provide him with a bit of encouragement and be trying to get a fit Ben to join us in 09.

I simply don't see the downside especially given that at the moment we are desperately short of leadership on the ground.

I am tired of listening to the same old waffle. If we don't employ a bit of imagination we are likely to find ourselves in the bottom 4 long after you
and I have forgotten the Tigers of old.
