Banks needs a run of games. I'm probably on board with Campbell though, I think he's dropped off a bit the last few weeks, and would be good to see him go back and dominate the 2's. I want to see Sonsie back that game up in the 2's personally.

I like the move of Pickett to a tagging role so it possibly makes more sense to have him start as a midfielder along with Dow.
But they have a very strong midfield and I don’t see those match ups working.
Prefer to see Daniel and Shai start there.

Don't mind it. But would go Mansell over Kossi. Kossi and Ryan up forward would be slow as. Mansell has been good, adds a defensive element to the forward line and can play taller than he is.

The thinking behind that team.

We kicked just 5 goals last week. We are second last for goals kicked with only the Hawks kicking less goals than us. For gods sake wce and NM have managed to kick more goals than us.

Mansell has not kicked a goal for three weeks, he has been pretty ordinary imo for those three weeks.

I left Campbell out for similar reasons. He has been ordinary the last two weeks and has not kicked a goal for five weeks.
He looks a keeper but finding a bit of touch in the reserves after 7 games won't hurt him.

Lefau who imo could play as a mid if need be and Kossie as the two key forwards. Thats more mobile than most teams. Ryan to play as a fwd ruck and we can change things simply by benching him. Plenty of teams are doing this.

Im just sick of playing against teams like Melbourne who had May, Lever and old man McDonald either double teaming our talls or allowed to be unaccountable and just sag off for intercept marks. Lets at least make em think about it.
Their forward set up includes Van rooyen, Petty, and Ben Brown more often than not. Go figure.

As badly needed as Bolton is in the midfield i picked him forward for the same reasons. We need structure and goal kickers. Coulthard over mansell because he is a goal kicker. MJ in the forward half for pace and defense and he has snagged a few goals in recent weeks..

If Lynch and Balta were fit would you complain if Lefau played third tall. Thats three talls, the last time i looked most clubs are structuring up that way.
I actually think a lot of it is to keep tall defenders accountable.

Our opponents this week thru injuries have just one genuine tall key defender in Pierce. Lets make that work in our favour like sides make it work against us.

We need someone to compete when we (regularly) kick high it into the 50.
Ryan , Kosi , Tresize and Short ( if fit ).
Naismith , Banks ,Campbell ( rested) and Hopper ( injured ).
I don’t rate Kosi as AFL standard but would like to see three talls in the forward line trialled.
Shorty to play as sub to give him a kick up the khyber for his lack of form this year.
Tresize to half back and Brown to a wing .

Kosi good seconds player. Graham Mansell no way
 
McAuliffe either has to play full game of VFL or AFL, not the sub. Same with Banks, he has actually missed a lot of footy by being either a sub or not playing when the VFL had a bye
