Yearly membership records.

This week is an away game but as it's also a replacement game for Darwin or Cairns your standard 11 game membership gets you in. So there might be a few more signing up for Friday.

thats what i meant Baloo, we no longer have non ticketed that r relevant to the overall tally which is a good thing and the tiger insider as we know now incorporates a 3 game membership...

Not quite correct AT. I asked for clarification from the club re membership totat. Approx 34,000 ticketed, the rest are kids and others? with "Access membership" or some such.
So it looks like we are combining all memberships.
I was under the impression that we did away with the "non-ticketed", but it seems like we total all memberships (except babies and maybe pets ;D) rather than in the past keeping separate tallies and then totalling them.

it is correct Willo, kids memberships with game access are included in the tally, we have about 8,000 kids members this is what i was told from the membership dept...they are combining as a whole what gets u in the ground IE: "game access", even 3 games access is added like most other clubs do....

Tiger Insider which was non ticketed last year is now ticketed as it includes a 3 game membership....

Just a small detail, but all Tiger Insider were upgraded early in the season last year to a 3 gamer.

I don't know why, but I still preferred it when we were the only club (maybe one or two others) that counted only full on adult memberships in our members total.

IMO, the membership tally should only include those members who have voting rights by virtue of the package they sign, whether tha includes game day access or not.

the numbers now have less meaning. with all the different types of membership, the better figure would be how much money each club has earned from memberships each year.

Bingo. Unless memberships are regimented across all clubs, figures are actually pretty meaningless and deceptive.

Looks nice when sponsors are sort after. Or when stadium deals are looked at.

Exactly, and for that reason it is astonishing that the AFL doesn't more closely scrutinise what passes as a membership. E.g., free memberships handed out as part of sponsorship deals are counted.

But which kids? Kids under six get in for free, so their memberships are essentially non-ticketed. I have two kids under age 6 with "memberships" - I wonder if they are counted.

Easing off. Only winning one game again so far this pre/season is not helping again.
Need a competitive effort at least against the Aints to see impressive increases from here.

As i wrote on bigfooty (pasted below) in response to another poster who said numbers have eased off in the last few days...

100+ per day over a week is 500-600, over the next 12 weeks id luv 2 get min 6,000 members signed which would have us at about 48K but we need at least 3 wins min in the first half of the season....
