We know we won't see him for long time.
So my foward line would be Rioli Martin Clarke
Bolton Balta Cumberland
Miller to play back
And bring in Biggie to play in the ruck because Nakas is finished

Balta no no no. Defence for Balta, don’t buckle.
Riewoldt, Samson and maybe Baur. Back to more smalls. Could be interesting

Miller or Sampson to Forward line. biggy to the backline. Might be time to blood some kids
 
Biggie is injured ,and he was getting his arse kicked in the ruck until he came off.
Miller in ,and now both Mccartins are out,just play Ryan forward.

The bad news is Lynch will miss eight with a foot. The good news is he might get four from the tribunal.

Ryan can't ge a ruck contest in the VFA. He has to play seniors for the next eight if he can impact in the ruck. And if he can get a break he may establish himself as a tall forward. Cumberland has earned a block and Grandpa Riewoldt can manage two months. While we educate Samson he might be suited to a teaching support role. (TJL was doing brilliantly in this way.)

There's no glossing it - TJL is probably our best player as at R4 2023. But. It's a long season and we've got plenty of players and shapes to try.

What did we do in 2017 when we had a lot of injuries to key talls?

We selected Todd Elton, that's what we did. But a month later, Dimma tried something unique.

I'd like to see Riewoldt, Cumberland and Bolton as the 3 leading forwards for a few weeks. We'll find a way, forward craft is better when it's instinctual and in the moment, so it's not the end of the world when plans get disrupted up forward.
