Welcome Tyler Sonsie

I don't think so, based on what Dimma said post match. Sounds like he's loving what MRJ's doing and that small forward spot has been problematic for a couple of years. Pickett or possibly Edwards for Prestia.
Edwards or Pickett out whilst George gets another reprieve?
Surely not.

George has more lives than a cat in the eyes of the match committee. And I don't think the role he's tasked with playing is as easily replicated as many think.

George is playing more like a one eyed cat walking backwards atm.

Playing very well but getting a bit of a free licence at the moment in the VFL. Not much hard, two way running. Athleticism the weakness in his game.

Gets a better base in that respect and he’ll be in.

Really impressed with the Sonz foot skills. When the match committee reckon he's ready, I can see him playing the sort of role that Short is playing in the midfield.

George is like a "eyed cat, peeping in a seafood store"
Time for a rest, until he can "shake, rattle and roll" like before.

With most of our injured players back now it might be harder to get some games into Sonsie, Banks etc.
I wonder if we can get on a roll for a few weeks and get ahead of the ledger we might start resting/managing Chimpah and Meatball etc like what Salty Scott did with Duckwood/ClangerField.
Now that I think of it we are prob already doing this.
Hoping we get some newbies in just like Gibcus came in and is now a lock.

Thinking Sonz will be keen to put in a good performance against his ex VFL side Box Hill Hawks and their parent club who was less than complimentary on why they overlooked him with their pick 23.

Tyler Sonsie (33 disposals, four marks, five clearances)

"With 33 disposals, he was really clean in and around stoppage and his huge improvement in his defensive work over the past couple of weeks has been pleasing to see."

Huge improvement in defensive work
That's what the coaches are after, defensive positioning and 2 way running.
Give him another couple of weeks working on it

I reckon 95% of the mids taken in the top 40,

dont run defensively.

its part of the reason they go top 40.

they rack up 30 possessions and 10 clearances and kick goals,

while their opponent does the same.

of course, there are the blue chip top 5 who do everything.
