Won't be surprised if he is put on the trade table, mainly due to the fact of our abundance of small forwards and our lack of talls.

He seemed to get a lot more ball further up the ground last night, Lloyd and George seem to swap roles a bit

Yep, he's still playing a role. I'd trade him and punt on the other smalls to go further than he will, not sure how much you'd get in a trade though.

What's all this trade and bagging of this bloke coming from? For a very inexperienced player he is showing great signs and will only get better the more matches he plays. Has genuine pace, can take a good mark and won't be limited to just a small forward. The mistakes he does are just those of a player still not fully seasoned but will be ironed out. Has a bit of X factor

Aristotle said "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts".
It sums up our forward line.
I think old Aristotle was maybe a Tiger supporter.

George drives me insane watching him.

At times he will pick up the pill cleanly/lay a big tackle after a chase or wheel around on his left or right and kick a goal, other times it's benny hill show material. There's no middle ground with George.

We should definitely trade one of our small forwards this year. Castagna might net us a good return.

Why do we need to trade any of our mozzies?
They are the ones that are keeping the scoreboard ticking. If 1 gets injured we have ready fire replacements.
Theres lots of players coming out of contract that need to go before our fleet of mozzies

Because we have other areas of the list that need addressing. Those other players you refer to that need to go won't net us anything in return.

Those areas of concern (ruck/forward) can be fixed by getting a Casboult or others who are unrestricted free agents.
Then keep our 2 first rounders for the draft & pick up the best talls available

I thought Castagna looked good. He JUST missed on about 10 great plays. With experience and practice, you start to nail them. Most payers don't have the potential he has.
Agree. Only played 10 or so games, composure and awareness bound to improve.

totaaly agree....the bagging of george is sheer stupidity...

He has a manic style of play and gives his all in every contest. But he lacks class and composure which is going to limit him as the stakes get higher and the games get hotter.

I'd replace him when Shai is ready. Rioli has been very quiet but feeli he has a lot more upside than George. Reckon Butler, Bolton and Stengle have the touch of class that George lacks so they are ahead of him as well.

ah yes, your OTT criticism has now been eroded down to "it was a george-like game" :hihi

Give one example of OTT criticism.
Just the facts. Pity you can't come up with anything to refute the facts at all. No substance to your chatter.
You still believe George's recent form is more valuable to the team than Lamberts. :hihi

The George like game went over your head, unsurprisingly.
Now I await your next troll, as that's all you've ever had. Your usual form, get a post that you think concurs with your view and then quote me directly after it. Typical, cowardly and pathetic.

Pity you can never back anything up with facts or stats, just the usual infantile retort.

Agree with this but what a great position to be in when he's our fourth small forward. Some players can overcome those panic/rushing type errors with experience, Foley was an example of this, time will tell if George can.

We need depth all over the park not just ruck/forwards. Trading Castagna doesn't hurt our depth of small forwards that much, we could draft another junior in any case.

You have a point. But I wonder if Rioli is carrying a niggly injury or something though.

Although Castagna's errors and clangers are driving me around the twist because he is costing us goals, I still would not consider trading him except for an amazingly advantageous offer. He has that touch of mini 'raging bull' about him that can do the marvellous, as well as stuff up the most simple feat too. But I think he may make a midfielder one day, or even go down back. He offers a versatile future because he's tough, fast and has that touch of explosiveness and aggression.

Given time and more experience, I hope poise and composure will come. Too excitable ATM.
