Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

He's always busy and trying to make things happen.

Can't fault his endeavour.

Love him in the forward line.

Love what he, Butler and Rioli bring to this side. No easy ball coming out of our fwd line anymore. All of them so manic and unpredictable - a real nightmare for opposition coaches.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda had 6 yesterday & 6 in Rd 1!!
Knows how to find it, and once he kicks straight (if) could be a dynamic Small Fwd long term.

Gets it on the lead and lighting quick off the deck.
New fan favourite

Anyone else think Castagna has a good case of the hungries (a.k.a Bartlett style)? His miss from 50 and missing the over the top pass was stupid and it did cost us a goal yesterday (made me do something else out loud rather than laugh at the time). On reflection, I like players who want it, who take responsibility and who can actually kick accurately - though not that time of course.

Lot to like. Especially as he is not the complete package yet, still has a fair way to go but is absolutely demanding his spot. Shai may end up being a depth player if the Butler trio get their way.

George seemed to be playing the Lennon role and was a big improvement.

George has a shimmy.

Watch his best goal, the snap from the pack.

That shimmy is a delightful thing.

Later in the game he unleashed four consecutive, unnecessary shimmies in the middle of the ground. Not even he knows where he's going.

Love him.

The mosquito fleet of Castagna Rioli and Butler have 20 goals to date thus averaging 5 goals a game between them

All 3 are 20 years old and we have another one in Bolton at 18 years of age !

Lol. Noticed this too. He was side stepping and wrong footing himself. His sidestep and change of direction is mega sharp. He'd be awesome in the midfield if he could gain some composure.

Don't forget 18 y.o. Stengle as well. He may not look fast but he has great evasive skills and knows where the goals are.

Yes forgot about stengle . Mosquito fleet.

Rioli will be a midfielder though imo

For smalls we are becoming blessed of late !

Get a couple of these to be part of the midfield rotations and we began to bat deep and challenge to go deep in the finals if it happens.

Now to get our talls right!
