Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Always been a fan but he's done by the looks.

Always will be a Tiger legend with 3 medals.
New rules, slightly new game style hasn't been kind to him.

His kicking and speed has gone.
4 or 5 others in his situation mind you.

Stengle, Higgins and Butler say hello George. What an embarrassing footballer to have in our 22. I will say it again for the umpteenth time would not get a game in another side. A suburban spud at best

I’m not blaming one bloke for a loss…. That’s ludicrous….But gee wizz that was as close as there is to it. Should’ve had us a couple more goals up at qtr time… then that last balls up ending in a smother 10m out… never seen anything like it. Weird snaps… hospital kicks…not on the same page…. Has to go.

Remember, Rioli was in a similar position 12 months ago.

Tonight was a disappointing night, but it's still possible for George to reach a level he's teased before. This is low point, though.

If George gives himself a tattoo for every un-missable goal he misses then he'd better get the gun out and add at least another three to his legs on tonight's performance.

Complete clusterfuck when the hell will Dimwiti learn?

George has neither the same speed nor kicking skills as Rioli. He would be a liability anywhere else on the ground, but tonight even in the only position he can play he was the biggest liability on the ground.

no no. Your boy short lost it first. but george was diabolical and that might be it for him
We won’t make top 4 but he may have done us a favour by his actions tonight.
Don’t see him being selected next week or into the future.
If there is any further doubt in Dimms’s mind, time for Balmy to put him straight.

Bringing him in, instead of Stacky, for the West Coast game was a mistake and it’s a big call but after tonight, I can’t see that same mistake being repeated.’

You could see Dimma was frustrated in his presser. He should be making a statement next week on George for sure. Vlastuin comes back in, so we push Bakes forward again and George has to be out. I'd play anyone instead of Aarts too, either Sonsie or Banks would be fine in place of him. Clarke is the other option for 1 of those 2.
Should've been Syd in last week.

George should've been in the VFL

Syd and Vlas in the team instead tonight we win.

Jud also would've slotted some of those goals.

Dimma won't drop him
I dunno. They crossed to the box after his final mistake today and the look on Hardwick’s face was seriously pissed off. Mentally I think he was putting a line through his name, but with the plethora of injuries, who knows?

On a couple of occasions today his lead up for a set shot on goal included walking with his back to goals, and then only glancing back towards the goal for a split second before quickly turning around and snapping for goal like he was performing some sort of party trick.

It’s as if he didn’t want to spend too much time looking at the goals in fear of freaking out.

This is not the behaviour of someone that has a grip on what they are doing.

I don’t want to disrespect him; I just want him gone.

It’s easy to stick the boots into George , however even though he has always struggled with the finer disposals he is a man a long long way from the team player he once was , it was proven last year it was time to move on from this , now we have George an Aartsy back in the fwd half as well as MJ and Cumberland who ain’t that accurate around goals . Personally I’d play Clarke , Sonsie and Stack fwd before all of them

Runs into an open goal, even looks left and right but can't see a player in red running into him.

I'd play Sonsie in the HHF role that Edwards is trying to play, and just leave Edwards forward in the SF role. He isn't impacting the game up the ground, but is evasiveness and skills inside 50 are very dangerous. For me, its the only place to play Shedda from now. Port play Robbie Gray in this role, and should be how we play Shedda too. Just leave him close to goal and let him do his thing.
