Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

I'm a Castagna fan - but last night was putrid (and recent weeks hit and miss). I agree that it's time for him to have a rest and try someone else. Right now he's in the Ross, Aarts, Edwards group (eg they simply aren't doing enough)

George is clearly crucial to the system employed by Dimma but did not fulfil the requirements of his role on Friday night. Will be an interesting selection discussion for the Port game.

Cumberland as sub may have been telling. I wouldn't be surprised to see Castagna finally dropped for Cumberland. Well actually I would be mildly surprised based on history.

However that system no longer works and the stars between 17 and 20 have gone over the top due to ageing. Todays team is performing no where near the golden years benchmark and unlikely to get close to that mark. This means the serious deficiencies in the foot soldiers have become exposed. Some like Broad Baker Rioli and Short have stepped up. Sadly George is now redundant and a liability

Castagna is likely to get picked again despite the poor return. Overall he's had a decent season. That said he wouldn't want another quiet one after the bye.

As soon as Carter told us how great he is and how stupid we all are this result was inevitable.

Cartman then forbidding us to talk about it was so cute.

Never take advice from a 8 yo.

I think he was going for nuance not humour. Agree he missed on both counts.
i think my problem was going for both humour and nuance in the same post, and ending up missing both. Kinda like how George tries to attack and defend and ends up doing neither effectively.

Neither pro or anti Castagna but looking objectively, with/if troops returning I think he might be in strife.

I’m with JB, good kids coming up and a coach couldn’t/shouldn’t support the current output

You’re capable of both, I’m not worried at this stage.
