Possibly that would put him in the same category as Ross and a couple of others maybe above average VFL players but probably not AFL quality. Maybe we have too many of them

I've been a backer of George, but last night was awful and his formline doesn't read well. He should be pushed to the 2's to get his hands on the ball.

I'd also like to see Ryan in for Soldo as he at least provides a target forward when he goes forward. Soldo either provides nothing or sits on the bench impacting others interchange minutes. It worked for us when our players were younger, but now when the older guys need a bit more time on the bench, we simply cannot carry Soldo now. Lets see what Ryan has

Pretty much my thoughts as well. He struggles to run in a straight line, and appears to have no feel for the game.

You're right, Dimma hasn't played a tagger in ages, just thinking it's worth trying something different to help reduce the opposition's midfield dominance for long periods in games. I do think George has the discipline of playing a role within the team structure, much like KMac. He's just not getting involved enough in scoring opportunities.

Unfair non-debut for Cumbo, so he should get a game against Port after the bye.

Good observation re Soldo. Unless he significantly improved his marking and forward play, he’s simply a No 1 tap back up.

Really disappointing that he hasn’t improved. Don’t think knee injury can be blamed for that. Prior to the season, high hopes were there. Magnifies losing Chol even more. (Forget Coleman-Jones as he’s no good anyway).

credit to George, he stood up when the rest of the team faltered. his 3rd quarter, when he got his 2 disposals, was nearly match saving.
of the rest of the team lifted like him in the 3rd we would have won easy.
