Yep, Bully confused on this one.

Milne nowhere near like for like. George ability to never get beat overhead against an out number is amazing. Milne never had that ability.

He was more your lead up and crumb player.

Great chart that btw.

I think Leysy is trying to pull the wool a bit here, shades of Casboult love shining through.

For starters Milne kicked 500 goals, plenty of those on the lead and under duress from the opposition defender. Castangna can only dream of getting even half of what Milne produced. The way you're talking is like he's the next Dermie Brereton, slightly comical in my opinion. For a guy who averages 0.8 contested marks & 10 possessions he is a mile off producing CHF numbers. The marks inside 50 have nothing to do with his aerial dominance, Richmond are a fast break team & George benefits because he's quick on the counter break. He might be filling in for now given we're only playing 1 tall but he is neither a long term solution or a genuine KP player. My intuition tells me he either cleans up his set shot kicking or goes back to the VFL. Lynch signing will be the first wake-up call.

I was pondering our George today.

He kicked 2 goals last night and Menzel kicked 3 for the Cats.

By contrast, George had 5 tackles, but Menzel had none.

I'm certain that Menzel wouldn't get a game if he was on our list.

And I suspect that George wouldn't get much of a run if he was at Geelong.

And that's why we are reigning premiers and sitting on top.

Whilst poor old Chris Scott looks perplexed and Geelong sit out of the 8.

Menzel 3 goals show why none of the other 17 clubs chased him last year.
2 from waiting over the back and the 3rd playing on with advantage.
His biggest weakness is he is a weak prick.

george has looked a whole lot less spooked the last 2 games and we are a better team for it

For sure. Kicked 2 goals, 5 tackles, reasonable defensively but from 8 disposals he had 6 turnovers.
8 disposals - 2 of which were goals would mean that all of his other 6 disposals were turned over.
Don't remember it being that bad but will look more closely when I watch the replay.

Correct. Good post. This is why scott doesn't rate us and can't understand what makes us so good.

Connected Richmond look at what a player brings to the table. Salty Scott looks at what players don't bring to the table.

Does kicking a point count as a turnover?

I seem to remember Georgie snapping wildly on his left foot and if it wasn't a point it was OOF - so that might be a turnover.
But are you sure about the rest i.e. every disposal except his 2 goals?

He won't be going back to the VFL this year Bully. No chance.

8th in league for tackles inside 50
15th in league for marks inside 50.

Rare player.

Agree least, underrated by so many on here. His pressure is enormous.

Got his kicking confidence back. Go George.

needs to add a parachute to his game.. His seed is insane, at this stage, at top flight seems quicker than Butler and Rioli BUT he needs to learn to slow down and steady when approaching goal. He will get this with experience and as gains a better peripheral awareness that allows him to compose and finish.

22yo with 42 games under his belt - will get better.
