Welcome to Tiger land Riley Collier’Dawkins

Happy with the kids game , didn’t show he’s strengths , however showed the 1% stuff , I actually liked his 14 touch game more then I would if he had 25 and kicked 2 goals, lot of Richmond footy about the way he played tonight , how’s that for a game to debut in , great signs

RCD was very comfortable in the contest against a 6-0 team throwing everything at us. Stepped up under pressure.
Good coaching to give him a specific role tagging Bont. Put him in the action straight away with a defensive mindset, but with the licence to counter-attack.

After a lifetime of putting up with two mums, tagging Bont would be a welcome relief.

Used the ball more quickly in the second half? Growing confidence.

Kept getting there. Influential. Good game. And a debut.

shorty demanding that ball in the first and then shanking his goal was brutal
It was shithouse. He demanded it, then somehow wasn't ready for it, then was surprised a Footscray bloke came near him, and bottled it. Anyway. Shorty's had better moments, a few of them tonight.

Very pleased with Riley's game. Spoke to one of his mums after the match. The one who had her phone off. She's lovely, and rightly proud.

Solid debut. Didn't set the world on fire but looked like he can handle the firsts.

Give him a few more games, needs the experience, work on his role and point to the good things he does and the stuff ups.

With some experience he looks like a good player.

RCD really didnt want to give it to him either.

Shorty pulled rank and bullied him. Unrichmond-like.

I love shorty these days, but if your gonna steal a kids thunder,

you better *smile* well make sure theres some lightening.

Yeah was poor by Short.

Having 5 clearances against an elite midfield is huge. I thought that he may struggle defensively but had some telling efforts.

Just needs exposure at AFL level. Seems a good fit with Graham as our next inside beasts.

With Cotchin out, RCD will get a serious blooding over the next month, ahead of Jack Ross IMHO.

Looked tough and composed, no reason not to believe he will get better for the run.

Exciting and promising debut .

Stood with Bont in the middle. Wasn't overawed. You can't get that experience playing down at Werribee today.

Tick.

It only took 1 game to see his elite traits transfer over to the AFL level.

I assume you're referring to the Dog's disposal by hand ;) :)

Yes.

He should start wearing a kamikaze pilots headband in games.

he looked like the closest thing we have to cotchy last night (albeit nobody approximates our Captain.), trapped in a huge, bontempelli body.

there was every indication I have been spectacularly and gloriously wrong on my assessment of RCD

Why would he be overawed? Look who the kid has to stand with week in, week out at training....

He got better as the game went on. There were a couple of really clever things he did as well. One deft palm to a free player that won’t count for a stat but I believe led to a goal. And he probably would have had a running shot on goal if not for the three quarter time siren. He’ll be a player.
