Although I thought he should have flown with Ryan a couple of times when Ryan was his direct opponent in a pack marking contest.

Egg was doing the same when he played.
Maybe it is a team directive, but I think if your man flies third up you have to go with him.

Houli and Grimes did exactly the same as Oleg when they were on Ryan so maybe it is a team thing.

Hadn't noticed this. He's quietly done some good defensive jobs on those small forwards. If he's keeping Broad out of the side he must be doing his job.

One thing i noticed tonight with Oleg. He burnt through the middle providing overlap options into the forward 50 all night. Hardly ever rewarded. Thought he could have got on the end of a few rather than the inevitable bomb to Lynch

He is tracking well now given the game time.

Agreed, he's really come along as a player. I was thinking his inclusion was a sign our depth was being tested and that he wpuld be back put of the team when others return.

Oleg is proving himself to be more than just a role player, so I'm not sure who would replace him now. I had my doubts over his first couple of games this year but he has been consistently good.

It is such a shame that Gil decided to save a few bucks and not allow an extended bench to help players cope with reduced time between games.

if we could field 24 or 25 each week we would wipe the floor with the rest of the competition. No other team bats as deep as we do.
