Welcome to the Tigers Oleg Markov

Great game no doubt, now like any young bloke the challenge is to do it consistently... Gotta love some comments here about how great he is, let the young bloke develop, can just see now another McBean type following and then rip him down when he has a bad game!

Did you hear Markov - we mixed it up a bit and play on instinct.
Did someone tell Hardwick enough is enough with the sh!te gameplan

Yep real exciting player. Smooth mover.

I just hope he is allowed to play on instinct rather than conform to a stodgy and robotic game plan. That would destroy him as a player. Much as it has done with Brandon Ellis.

Now let's hear a round of applause for our much maligned recruiting staff!

They've done well with this one no doubt.

But let's not get carried away. You throw enough darts at a board you'll eventually hit the right target.

We need a few Olegs before we even start making up for the Lennons, Vickerys, Concas, Eltons, Griffiths, Posts, Batchelors etc etc

I don't mean to stereotype or anything, but its just hard to see the son of a russian pole-vaulting champion being soft.

Dmitri is from Belarus. Are they even tougher?

And a fifth. Really wants the ball, demands it when he runs into space. He works hard off the ball too. Rapt with him.

This is the one thing he does that the team basically refuses to do as whole. He runs hard BOTH ways. He runs to make an option when we have the ball and he runs to defend when we don't.

The lack of run is a key flaw in our team's make up. Hopefully it's not coached out of Oleg.

What a game from Oleg. Moves like a gazelle, has enough poise and good decision making already to show he will be a beautiful pick up for us. Lovely skills too, beautiful flat kick that get's to its target quickly. Ran into his oldman after the game. Big unit, shook his hand and told him his son is a beauty! I was a little under the influence at the time (understatement). He seemed very friendly & i'm sure is very proud of his son. Good boy Oleg. Hopefully he puts on some decent size to become a very good player for us.

This guy reminds me of a very young Francis Bourke. Very impressive after so few games.

St.Oleg?

He waited naked three months in the snow for a meeting with Pope Fisteyes III to beg him to relent. The siege on Futballistan was taking a toll on the Already-hungry and Quite-toothless.

But he was denied. He lost three toes in that vigil, fed to the scholars of Futballistan on Oleg's triumphant return.

I like how youve already dropped the . after the saint abbrev. snake.

take away the space, and we're left with StOleg.

Which is one of the best nicknames in recent times IMHO

evokes visions of wild, viking, remorseless limb-thievery. Completely crazy brutal *smile*s who will rip your leg off and hang it as a trophy in the Þjóðveldisbær

The amazing thing about him, is he didn't get drafted in 2014, then he lasts till 50, has everything you want in a modern footballer, I'd have been happy with him with our first pick
Indeed, not even rookied in 2014 by either of the two SA sides. They generally have a pretty good record at spotting talent in the local SANFL ranks for their rookie lists.
