Welcome to the Tigers Mate Colina

Saw mate’s snap goal v the cats
Not bad

And gut running players, two way.
We need to work on disrupting the opposition offensive play and get an ok share of contested footy wins

Hardwicks ploy of get it forward however (remember the taps to advantage by the whole team and edwards invisible handballs?

Plus we all saw how long we hung around the top 8 once Cotchin exited.

Dusty didn’t make GOAT without Cotchin.
And Riewoldt was so clever

We had 4 x 300 gamers with flags and brownlows and norm smiths and all aus

4 generation players in one team plus very handy role players

Not saying we won’t get back there but we need to make this draft day count.

We’ll discuss this draft for a long time

Yes, we're a long way off it, brother. We've got three, National Drafts, Tf. To get the joint in some kind of order. Blair will bring a couple in. We'll fluke another Baker somewhere. Or maybe even another Lefau. We got Grimes because we trialled him at the club and then we took him in the PSD.

As you say, Tf, Martins and Cotchins and Riewoldts dont just turn up. If we can get one player of their class in each of the next three drafts we'd be happy but we need more too.

The youngsters we're linked to in this draft are upside types. They're not white hot U18 form as much as classy underdeveloped prospects. Less established form - possible higher ceiling. But we get six or so good shots at tops players. It's possible there are two Cotchin class players in this draft for us. There could be a Vlastuin class. An Astbury class. We need pretty much everything so we'd have to flum something.

2025 is not an empty draft. And Bengal was talking up 2026 today. There will be a lot of players brought in over the next three National Drafts. Fifteen? The rookies. Offcuts. A money player. It's a new side. It will be four years to get going, you'd reckon.

Be nice if we could finally snag a decent f/s & NGA pick or two as well. Louis Kellaway (eligible in '25) Jack Leys ('26) & Tanner Armstrong (NGA '25) all sound promising.
