Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

I know we're mainly using him as a midfielder but could he replace one of our small forwards i.e. Rioli to bring some added pressure in our forward half. With Cotch coming in next week there's less requirement for him to be in the midfield.

That might be a good option for him. Personally I don't think he will ever be good enough to be in the starting midfield, doesn't find it enough, doesn't do enough with it when he does, but his pressure could be a real benefit particularly as he's mid sized in the forward line.

On what I know of his time in the WAFL, he is a midfielder. He was always a good player at South Fremantle, but he really blossomed when Tim Kelly left for the Cats and a spot in the middle opened up for him. Until then Marlion was playing mainly HFF/HBF. He was good, but not draft worthy playing those roles.

Personally thought he was poor. We needed a mid to step up to support Dusty and Bolton with Lambert getting tagged all game and he didn't do that.

Whats his actual role? Defensive or offensive midfielder? Not sure he's doing either that well at the moment.

Agree totally. He had 5 efficient disposals for the whole game . So many times he was front runner for the hard ball and just overran it or let his opponent win it instead. Just the 1 tackle as well. If he's giving up disposals to be defensive then that's not really working either. I've been a reasonable fan but he lost me a bit last night. Needs to improve. He doesn't have the benefit of age like others who are new to AFL. At the moment there's probably not a spot for him when Prestia, Edwards and Cotchin come back.

Another solid game, building and showing some class. I'm really starting to take note of those crunching bumps he's handing out too.

Does he switch wings each quarter so he can stay on @eZyT's wing?

His last few games have been better than the one before. Just warming up and really good signs
He really hasn’t had any continuity since he came to the tigers and is just starting to get it now

That goal was a ripper, such a pure strike. Seems to have his touch back. He’s a great footballer all right. Time and space to burn all night tonight
