Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Yes! Start giving others a go at the 'protect the space' job. 8 disposals used well surely has to be better than 8 disposals used poorly?

Or we could look for a player or two who can get nine possessions and drop the pair of them.

Who ya thinking? I think his time next year a balta could be running up and down the wing.

Markov would've been the most likely, hope his knee isn't too serious.

Corey Ellis and Menadue both nearly 22yo, neither able to crack a regular spot. Very similar type players. You can't keep them both on the list for much longer (4 years plus). Have to turn them over to find new gems. Surely one of the two will go. Both will be out of contract.

if it came down to it who would you keep for another year?? Personally I'd keep Ellis.

How are they even remotely similar? IMO Ellis is mainly an inside mid, while Menadue is a winger/ hbf'er who rockets up and down the ground ideally getting on the end of passes the push him into space to break lines.

Good question. I see more potential in C Ellis but neither seem to be able to transfer good VFL form into good AFL form. Maybe just maybe VFL is both their levels.

Zips thanks for comings for 2018
Both Ellis's
Menadue
Miles
Drummond
Hampson
Grigg *retire

You can add Griffins and probably add Lloyd to that list Zips.

They are going to have to clear a few out to make room for Lynch or De Goey ;D

That said i can see both the Ellis boys being kept on for 2019.

Rumour is Menadue offered a 3 year contract with Norf. Heard this from a work colleague with an inside source at norf

They will come for the likes of Menadue. Priority signing for mine, along with Shai.

Bolton yes, Menadue not sure.

I've been a fan of Connor's but I'm wavering. Needs to break into the seniors soon for mine.

Menadue is in our top 25ish. He's understudy to Houli, KMac, Ellis and Short and at least has the potential to grow into a place when Grigg hangs them up. I rate him, I think he can be a very good player. And teams are coming for him, so I would sign him asap.
