Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Markov was quiet today in the VFL. Menadue has been consistent and deserved his opportunity and hopefully will get a couple more games. Needs time to adjust to pace and different players.

I wouldn’t say menadue has been in our best at VFl level cosistamtly
But they must see something in him if they picked him
I think Markov has much more upside in my opinion

Been consistently good for the vfl. Markov has been up and down

First AFL game in 10 months. He'll be better for the run. Judge him in three weeks; he'll still be in the side.

Two players down in the 1st qtr and he only manages 10 disposals. Its not good enough, if there was a time for him to do more it was yesterday, maybe he stays but he better start picking it up in a hurry, or he may just have to learn to punt and follow Lennon to the US.

Average game but best 22 in the longer term. Actually I'm tipping will develop into a B+ 200 game player. Has the tools!

Now would be a good time to start using punctuation.

i hope your right though plenty played have the tools though do they have the strength to use and exploit them is the question i haven't seen that from him

Am a fan. But was very poor yesterday. Looked very nervous and edgy, especially in the first half.

Like Moore, he deserved his promotion. Given that hope he gets another week. We are in a position that can reward that.

Looks as though he hasn't put on an ounce of muscle since he's been at the club.
Has some tricks, but seems to lack the confidence to use them, needs a run of 3 or 4 games to build into it.

Well I've seen the last 4 games and I think he's been great. Also voted in SportsTG BOG in 2 of those games and 3rd best in another so it looks like others besides me also thinks he has been regularly in our bests and deserved a call up ahead of others playing a similar position. Saying that Markov is progressing nicely too but has a much more interrupted season due to injury.

Spot on with both of them.

There was a moment cant remember what quarter ,3rd or 4th , when he was running onto a low bouncing ball with open space in front of him , maybe 70 metres out from goal ,

With his pace , he would have been away ,

But he fumbled , mucked around , couldnt pick it up and the opportunity was gone ,

He has to nail those moments if he is to make it

He needs to watch Caddy, Cotch and Dusty when they are chasing the loose ball.

Hands low.

If the ball is doing a chaos bounce then its a forceful tap downwards to reorient its spin and bounce.

Then they take possession and are away.

Probably wrong thread but Dusty seems to be able to handle it like a basketball. The way he can tap it and make it bounce the right way never ceases to amaze me. Whatever the technique is would be a good one for Connor to learn as definitely cost us a goal here. Imagine just overthought it and had a mini choke.

Thats what spending the majority of your waking hours with a ball in your hand does. Dusty has been doing it from as long as he can remember. Its been his life his focus. He knows the field, the ball and his hands n feet like the matrix.

You can improve what you have, but you can never replace Dusties life focus on footy!

Connor would normally swallow that one up. But the extra pace n pressure at AFL does that to players. He will only get so many chance's to belong. Hope he does. The tools he has would be an asset to the way we play!

With Houli out, this is Connor's big chance to establish himself as Bachar's apprentice. Needs to play well.

I'm a not huge houli fan, but he has Menadue covered. Menadue is very lucky to be running out on the G tomorrow night.
