Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Credit to the coaches for sticking with him after his performance against the Swans. Repaid the faith.
It appears his been managed well, got a taste early in his career , then had to earn a spot and has a balance between VFL an AFl depending on form and education. Like that his taking contested grabs , and backing himself with his run and also when it's his turn to go for the hard ball, improving.

Great game. None of the port players had the speed to out run him. Was involved in a heap of pressure acts that turned into *smile* for port.

We haven't had that pace and skill cutting through the pack since Deledio at his best.

So, so important to have that element.

It just creates goals. Especially in second halves when the packs are flagging.

Reckon the praise has gone ALOTT. I looked up his stats expecting 25 touches a goal and some goal assists. He had 3 kicks 13 handpasses & 3 score involvements.

Yes, he had an impact and was important in the last but the hyperbole is crazy.

While most have wavered we have been there from the start brother. Stand proud.

He is the iceman. Never overawedin big moments.. Turning from a boy to a man by the week.

Lot of knockers of the pick even in the past week.

Great selection then. Will be a great selection in years to come.
Ahem.

Yeah. Connor was good by his standards but has a long way to go. First needs to become consistent and push his disposal tally's towards 20.

Then needs to handle any attention the opposition start to give him which will be a big challenge as pure outside players are easily shut down. Long way behind someone like a Blakely but at least he's building...slowly.

Still stands besides contests without getting involved needs to move through the contest more often.

They called it perfectly when they were discussing their options at the draft table. He's a project, it'll take three years, pick number xyz 123 Connor Menadue. Starting to roll together some very tidy periods of play is young Connor, but developing very bloody nicely.

Fair call. He is still a bit of a witness.

I've seen him a few times in the flesh lately. He is one lean bean to be playing AFL. Hopefully he goes hard in the gym in the off season.

Starting to see why the club have had such big wraps on this kid. Does good things at important times, is quick, can tackle and is doesn't make mistakes. just needs to get more of it now.
