Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Spent a fair bit of time on the bench, he gave us some good run in the last quarter, he uses the ball well.

The same clueless nuftis on here were bagging him only weeks ago.

Will be a very good player for us.

Didn’t bronze his shorts today which is a vast improvement. Didn’t have any super hard contests to test himself on.

When he gets it and has space, looks a million dollars. Better, yes. Still miles to go to prove he is up to it.

Showing glimpses he is starting to believe.

When the penny does drop the next level up could come quickly.

His performances a few weeks ago warranted bagging. He had been putrid.
Did you go back and watch the replay, average game last week but putrid rubbish. Just the run and carry we need to develop.

My thoughts exactly. Carlton's style of play suited Menedue's style to a T. He has lots to learn, and needs more muscle, before he is a best-22 player against the bigger bodies.

I'm sure this will gain a response from the Grigg haters. Connor spoke at social club tonight and Grigga is his main influence, teaching him how to find the footy and where to run. If he ever get's up to Grigg numbers i will be very happy.

He is one if the few fringe players with a ceiling of improvement.

That's why he was persisted with and it was the right decision.
I think he's got upside too.Slowly getting stronger and more confident.

At the moment he's like a poor mans Hoskin-Elliot.

Credit to Hardwick and the selection panel on this one.
Most (myself included) would have dropped him after a stinker against the Swans but he really lifted today & got a vote from me.
When he's prepared to run the ball he's a real weapon. We've lacked players like that in the past.
Exciting performance from Connor.

good call. Solid game. He's been perplexing this year, good all round game today, but in other games he's been terrible, but then been one of our best late when its been hot and we've folded. So hard to assess. I'm getting a bit bullish.

Come on evo give him more credit than that.

Poor mans Hoskin-Elliot? I would retire if I was called that.

That's what Menadue is.

I made the comparasion a month ago. Their games are crazy similar, WHE just a lot better all round but older.

It was so obvious a change that Menadue probably looked up the VFL fixture to see where the 2's were playing. But good on him for bouncing back.

WHE has way more runs on the board and is a great comp for Menadue.
