Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

I don't think he is 69 KG any more. Looked and played stronger. I like the solid marks under physical pressure.

What we didn't see much yesterday is his elite speed. I'd give him Mcintosh's spot in a heart beat. Can run as long, faster and his ball use has way more hurt factor.

I'd also swap Ellises in the team

Penned in round 1 :clap

Yeah I think so. Likes to kick a goal as well which is good sign for a wingman.

Like the fact he stood tall for a couple of marks when he could have got crunched

I agree and reckon he will take Kmacs position too. Kmacs disposal efficiency isn't good enough for someone with such a large proportion of UP. Really liked Menadue, seemed to be playing at both ends at time, damaging in the F50 and was cutting kicks into the D50 out too. Really liked that and he will play a fair amount of footy for us this season if yesterday is anything to go by.

If Menadue can do as well next week and Kmac does as poorly he's in, you'd reckon, Lambchops.

BTW Son of Sarah reminds me a little of Maxfield at times in that he's much tougher than you'd guess from looking at him, he's a straight line player who knows where the ball is going, and he surprises and creates through the extra carry of his kicks, particularly I50.

I'm a fan. It'll be a big plus for us if he can come on this year.

Watching Connor with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The terminator, would never stop. It would never leave him, and it would never hurt him, never shout at him, or get drunk and hit him, or say it was too busy to spend time with him. It would always be there. And it would die, to protect him. Of all the would-be fathers who came and went over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only one who measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

This young fella has a higher ceiling to where he can take his footy than any young fella on our list.

Ellis x 2, Vlastuin, Hampson, Rioli, McIntosh etc all included.

It probably won't all click this year, but he could be anything.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Odd agreeing with LD but I agree. This kid may end up the steal of last years draft. Just has it.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Yeah before's draft even.

Think that shows your just agreeing with leysy for the hell of it!

His next outing will be very telling on where he's at right now. But ID'eO this is the youngster who should be most in the frame for a senior berth this year. And we've now got a few.

Doesn't he know where to go, when to go and what to do when he gets there? Quick, quick brain. Sublimely orthodox footballer. How 'bout Lade shuffling him around the park?

How do you feel if he's got a shot on goal? How is he overhead?

I have one thing to add. From the timing and content of your post I am absolutely certain of one thing, brother - you've just watched that Hawthorn game again. ;D

Our saviour is a boy. The son of Sarah. ;D

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

I said he reminds me of Skinny Lappin's cousin. Yokel in the jeans, like Cletus Hinkley on a half-back-flank all those years afore (but quicker and a better kick, hence a wingman). He should have coffee with Brett Deledio every day. Stand behind him at every drill. Follow him into the - well, you get my drift...

If he turns out as good as Stuey I'll be stoked. Maxy was a gun & losing him was the worst mistake the Tiges have made since I've been following them.

Well, that & appointing Robert Walls as coach.

It's a Melbourne Cup field but those would get a start.

I can remember him kicking a clutch goal from outside 50 last year. Not sure the opponent was but it was a great kick.
