No doubt. Gone from playing against skinny kids his own age n size to playing against bigger n harder men for most of the year. Extra training loads n all the tactical n structural stuff would be starting to weigh down at this time of year for plenty of the youngsters at all clubs.wigglyworm said:Getting to the end of a hard slog for some of these boys. Skinny first year kid wouldn't surprise me if he drops off a bit in the last few rounds.

Struggled to find the ball at half-back. Was moved to a wing in a bid to get him more involved in the match, but still couldn’t exert an influence. We expect better from him, and it will be a focus at training during the week to work out how we can improve his involvement in the contest.

Worry a little that some of these younger players are getting a little dispirited in the VFL.

Mr Magic said:Yep I'm serious. FJ really liked the boy from Swan Districts
Stylo said:Rightly so, he'll be a very good player. But I prefer the combo of Ellis/Menadue to Ellis/Blakely

Blair was most vocal agitating for Menadue. FJ said "that's how we rate them, that's how we go", so clearly the group collectively rated Menadue higher.bullus_hit said:First I ever heard of that, although there was significant discussion when our pick went live. Out of curiosity who made the call?
I'm happy with our two. Weller looks a nice link type but Ellis looks special and I reckon Menadue might be too. If he wasn't so skinny he would have gone a lot earlier.Barnzy said:What about Weller/Blakely?
