He has the arms of a muppet but the legs of a sprinter. Will furnish.

That's what I liked about him last year, like how some tall players don't play tall, Menadue is a rake that doesn't play like a rake.

Lovely to see him kick his first goal, let's hope it's the first of many and great to see the teams reaction to it. They all got around him.

The kid is fast! With about 5mins to go in the third he overtakes a sprinting White to lock down on the guy that was going to receive. I like this boy.

True, but it is a departure from last year's philosophy, which was to play the senior guys at whatever cost, despite going 3-11 or whatever we were. It is a big shift and either driven by what as you say is the quality of this year's kids, or a directive to start planning for the future (which low and behold we all of sudden become less predictable and somewhat faster/more skilled (not to mentioned Delidio))

We only took one junior the year before, Tf08. (Another one who's too important to play football.)

My view is that the jury's in, Tf08. Our recruiting has been shithouse. Menadue proves it by being an exception and then only getting a handful of touches. He can play. His predecessors couldn't.

The club knows it. We added Geelong's Luke Williams to the recruiting team last year. Either he's taking over or there are more new staff coming.

Menadue, pick 37 or so, can play football and will.

So good that Conner can get some games under his belt and learn on the job. More than likely he will go back to the VFL in the next few weeks but the experience he has gained is invaluable.

I really like the kid. we know he is fast but he is very light on his feet and his first few steps are lightening.

I really like this kid. He's a footballer. I like his values and his athleticism. Brave. Busy. Smart. We don't have to namby pamby him - he's mature.

Was very good. I loved how he went about it and ran in straight line towards goal. Dangerous player.
