Regressed. Some poor efforts in the first half. Did improve as the game went on and has grown this year as a midfield option but in a bit of a funk atm. Sonsie looks better in the midfield.

Don't disagree. Appalling first halves followed by really good second halves. Looks lost and lacking in confidence. Poise is gone. Still had a very solid year.

I don't mind that. Would need Jack Ross - Sonsie to pick up more midfield minutes. I'm still not sure we have enough midfeild depth to push Short back.

We can't afford his lack of composure and poor one on one defending either.

At least when he turns it over it is furtrher from goal when he is midfield.

Having a bad patch but hopefully can turn it around, don't want him going back though.

Prefer Stack brought in for Vlas.

Don’t like how he’s playing at the moment. Panicky and jittery. Very unsure with the ball. A couple of times last night he refused to put his head over the ball and just blasted a moving ball off the ground.

He's always been panicky with pressure on him.

Just throws it on the boot and dump kicks it without looking.

If Stack comes in it will be as a forward you'd reckon. You're probably right, though, leave Short in there.

Why??? Flossy stands in the hole when there's *smile* coming in. Shorty's not gunna do that, he's the one who'll be scrounging up spillage or 1st distribution option then scarpering up the ground to distribute.

I was watching him interact with teammates in huddles etc at the ground over the last couple of weeks.

He'll certainly give the team a boost if he's feeling up and about come finals.

Can he please stop kicking the ball in a panic motion every time. There is no purpose to how he kicks the ball forward. He does this because he does this stupid u turn each time. It then forces him to kick blindingly on his left.

He's not a very smart footballer. That set shot he had said a lot about where his head is at. He had the distance covered easily yet never actually took his time and lined up like he was going to kick it. He just needed a bit of comp[osure. Compare him to Rioli, easily our best set shot goal kicker, who never looks like missing. Short's kicking is a bit of a myth.

Reminding me a lot of Nick Daffy at the moment. Just gets the ball and throws it on his boot as quick as he can without any regard for players around him in a better posiiton, or hitting up players down the field. On a number of occasions last night, he had a player running shotgun for the handball and he just rushed it onto his boot instead. Seems to be in panic mode.

Daffy when moved into the midfield is a good comparison. Both not natural mids. Not sure where we play Short as he's not good defensively either.

I still think Short has been ok.
He, Bakes and Graham have done a shitload of heavy lifting in the midfield rotations all year - and covered Cotch's injuries, Prestia's injuries, Dusty basically not playing all year, no Lambert most of the year and somewhat carrying Edwards too.

Reckon those three boys would be very tired. Bakes and Short are 'small mids' too so a lot of crash and bash for them all year.
