Welcome to Richmond Chris Yarran

Welcome Chris, to a club going somewhere real good. Listen to those jungle drums before a game and suck up the atmosphere and know they're on your side....no trepidation now. You'll feel 12 inches taller....and faster....

Hope we did a medical with him, I reckon all that running might stress the hammy's a bit.

And, I hope he has team mates who will shepherd for him to do what he does best. Run.

I really have high hopes for a motivated and refreshed Chris Yarran at Richmond. When you watch his highlights package on the RFC website, you can't help but get excited by his very best football. I just hope he finds some consistency at the Tigers.

Adding Corey Ellis and Chris Yarran to our team next season adds some real class.
I admit I've been unconvinced by this great quest for Yarran as I was really perturbed by his 2015. However, that package really reminds you of his capability which is impressive.
However, I will reserve judgement for performance rather than hope or promise. But quietly optimistic - the possibilities are exciting. Up forward especially, he has that mercurial goal-sneak ability that the Koori players seem to specialise in, and we haven't had since my old fave, Andy Krakour. Have a sneaking suspicion Yaz may have been slightly peeved by how well his old mate Eddie has gone since escaping Blues. He might just want a crack up forward and that's just what Dimma needs.
We all wanted Treloar because he's just about a sure-thing, such a reliable, honest and talented player, But Yaz is more mercurial, brilliant. If he can find consistency with a better team, who knows ... might forget Treloar very quickly. Plus hope he doesn't have groin probs!

A bargain at pick 19. Only 24 & plenty of footy left in him. He must be relieved to be away from that prim & proper, knife fork & spoon lot a Princesses Park. What a cliché they are. Once upon a time they had some grunt in them . Now have as much bite as my a toothless 15 year old spinster poodle.. Oh what a wonderful feeling it is ,hey what !!

What's most pleasing is that he seemed determined to come to Richmond as opposed to just leaving Carlton. This boy wants to be a Tiger. Glad to have you onboard.

Would rather not see him confined to HB. Give him the freedom to create from W or HF.

Don't agree with that..

He is consistently under performing... :hihi

Id play Yarran at HB. Time to release Flossy to the midfield. Put him in the guts...
yep.
vlastuin in the guts sounds great.

Give him the licence to do his best stuff in the forward half ... could add a bit of flair and unpredictability to the forward line, something the Tigers lack most of the time.

The highlights show that at his best Yarran brings 2 things to the team that we've been banging on here about needing for a while: pace and X factor.

I'm feeling something like this too. The bloke can clearly play a range of different roles and I'd like to think there'll be times when he's called to do any of them.
So I wouldn't lock him in to any one of them just now.

Playing him off HB makes a massive difference for Houli and Ellis who will both be he beneficiaries of the attention he will get if fit and firing.
Also, our style of play out of the backline should work ridiculously well for him personally. Look how much space our release defenders find already and none of them have the wheels this guy has. And one other important thing is we have Rance, who creates more turnovers than anyone else in general play and when he breaks and runs all of a sudden there will be an option not only able to keep up with him but exploding past him. Rance causing a turnover and releasing Yarran through the middle of the ground with the opposing team's defence out of position could become dynamic over the next few years.

Spot on. An extra running defender will definitely help our scoring, Juff.

We have done well as our first rounder along with yarran and corey ellis and who knows from our numerous 2014 talented draftees along with townsend will transform our midfield from what we had last year, adding valustin , conca, townsend, gives us so much more grunt and hard inside look and gives our back line a more attacking dangerous look, should be exciting to watch.

Ready when you are Rosy ;D

Not so sure that would be wise really. Look how it all went pear shaped for Andy Collins when you changed to Navy Days in support of him. I want Chris to have a far more successful future than that. :hihi

Looking forward to exciting footy Chris. Will want with great interest as you break the lines and placing us higher up the ladder.

Francis liked you from the start, he mentioned at one game He came up at 3/4 time and asked to see what you had. You didn't disappoint him.

You come to a great club, enjoy your great career and bring to us that cup.

Looking good Yazz.
