Welcome to Richmond Chris Yarran

first photo of him with a smile for over 12 months. A fit and focused Yarran will give us lots of joy !!!
He's probably quite relieved to be somewhere that he actually wants to play, and I can imagine that that atmosphere at Carlton was probably quite toxic over the past year.

I'm taking a shine to him already :inlove

He looks so much better in a Richmond guernsey, looking forward to some magic in round 1.

Look, until Yazzy Days appears it's not offical.

Can't wait for the first long rebounding run.

That smile looks very genuine. I get the feeling that his recruitment will be seen as one of Blair's best ever

got the Michael Mitchells about him but not as fast as him though...no one is faster than Michael Mitchell!!!

I was a bit iffy with the idea of him being a Tiger.

But he is now so I hope he kills it... eat 'em alive Chris!!!

He will kill it. Easily in the top 22 players for the Tigers. In Yarran, out Newman, has to be a better side.

If a new coach came to Richmond for season 2016 I reckon his first priority would be to get more run from half back. It's the low hanging fruit. Gotta be worth three extra shots a game to us. Good to see the existing coach do this.

It might nett us five shots against a bottom four side and -2 against a top four side but the change has to improve our points for column significantly.

BTW Yarran can play tight when we need it.

We only get more counter if we get more heat on opposition centre clearances. Hence Townsend. A chaser and a hurter. And perhaps Moore. We gotta play tighter in the middle to generate more loose ball at half back. That would be 2-2-B game. We began to get it right in 2015 and we'll be doing more of it in 2016.

And you can get more one on one for tall forwards with counter ball. Three tall forwards can work but hey have to run.

We need our mids to play tighter, and the ruckman (especially) and then we'll get the chance to watch this Yazzy do his thing.

On the other hand we pushed Houli to high half forward several times late in the season to reasonable effect. We could do with a Yarran type at each end of the ground.

I cant wait for Yazz to join us, get him engaged and happy and he will show us his worth.

Personally i would love him to play more forward but i agree with big Jack that were lacking the run off HB..

Interesting that an earlier Houli RFC Media interview he mentioned he would enjoy and welcome more forward time, almost like it had been mentioned by the club...

If we could get George up to speed with his DE this would allow us a Yazz or houli more forward time...
