Welcome Kaelan Bradtke

You don’t have to be able to jump if you are allowed to push people in the back.
I'm not even sure that's even a rule any more; so many PITB allowed now. The rule seems to have legitimised players like Hawkins now. It appalls me ... but looks like KB is a fast learner. ;)

Slightly smaller version of Josh Kennedy. Barrel chest and upper torso, skinny legs.
Josh Kennedy 196cm 95kgs
Kealan Bradtke 195cm 97kgs
I----I mush shorter

I think it was the correct call to take Bradtke over Sparkle
but i wouldnt be expecting to see much before 2025 with this kid

Fairly certain he got injured in the VFL on the weekend. He came off in the third holding his arm and didn't come back on.

Morro's report from the weekend:

Kaelan Bradtke (12 disposals, four tackles, four inside-50s, one goal)

"Had some big moments. He's not too far away from breaking a game apart and hopefully with some continuity in his football that's around the corner."

I have hopes for this bloke. A quick, powerful athlete, so reminiscint in build and gait of Josh J. Kennedy (don't @ me). Began the season with 5 goals in R1 and 2 in R2 before breaking his hand. Back two weeks now, with a goal in each game, but I'm with Morro, he looks like he could tear it up if and when it clicks. Won't surprise if we see him at AFL level before the year's out.

I was trying to think up a comparison while watching the game. Josh Kennedy is perfect spook. He looks slow and lumpy but isn't.

Yep, the Kennedy comparison is spot on. Could do with a couple of solid preseasons but unlike other potential forward options (cough, Bauer, cough) he looks to have the size and build to compete against the biggest defenders at AFL level.

Definitely one to watch.

I see more Charlie Curnow in Bradtke but would take either!

I haven't seen any recent VFL games but looks like he's getting opportunities but not converting in front of goal?
