I was at VFL park when Esihold missed from 3 metres out and for 30 years they blamed a Irish bloke that just started playing.
The 2000 GF won 13 or 14 straight going into the GF and lost by 10 goals.

I’d prefer a final 5 like back in the 70s and 80s but agree with the gist.

But of course the AFL will go down the Yankee path and introduce a wildcard weekend for teams 7-10 and rename the finals series the “playoffs”. Because everything the Yanks do is the best apparently.

And they have got the fortnight gap before the GF and twilight GF thanks to covid. Here to stay. But wildcards are more likely than a contraction in numbers.

Overall though, how boring was that game of footy for an apparent finals game of footy.

They weren't that good, GeeWizz was all over them once the dialled the pressure up, and the Camp Chair Cats started to fold in on themselves

Has played well second half of season without kicking a lot of goals. Hard worker, unselfish. Not a #1 forward.
